Keana's POV
With a lighter heart I found myself in the kitchen preparing my peach and ginger tea. It was a welcoming of spring type of tea. For just a single day I did not want to think of the havoc that last occured when I was awake. "Is that really you?" I turned to face Eden with a lovely smile decorating her radiant face. She quickly came and stepped in my embrace. She is as radiant as the midnight full moon, her happiness could shine through even the darkest corners of the palace and it was pleasant to see for I am able to see that light in my sister as well.
"I have missed you terribly." I hugged her a little tighter upon hearing her words. "A month is not that bad, I awoke rejuvenated." She let go just to take a better look at me. "You are the spine of the Lombardi's, don't let Rhea know." I just smiled. "Don't let Rhea know what?" My sister asked out of thin air holding a cup of steaming coffee in her hands. "Sneaking up on people is not polite sister." I went back to my tea, missing its warmth. "When have I ever been such?" At that she wrapped an arm around Eden and kissed the side of her head causing the human girl to giggle.
"I will be in the garden, it's spring and all is coming to life just as I did just yesterday."
"Do you wish for us to join?" I simply shook my head and took a copy of once a famous author. She was brilliant with her words. "We will see you in the evening then, please remember there is important things to discuss."
"No politics today, Rhea." I simply took my cup and book, heading towards the lovely garden outside. The air still holds onto the cool of winter yet it was not as prominent. Even winter comes alive and then dies every year for the sake of summer. The poetic side of me thinks of it as lovers, how one must die for the other to live. After reading a fair amount of pages I was out of tea and filled with the beauty of words. "Do you wish for more tea?" A lovely soft voice brought me out of my trance. I did not mind at all. Ivanna was there holding onto the steaming pot waiting for a reply. She seemed so familiar, not in a way that I have simply seen her walking around the hallways, but in a more personal way.
"Do you enjoy the wonders of a good book like Eden or are you more interested in the real world?" I simply asked. She cleared her throat as she looked away. "I never really had much time to read, only when mother was teaching us how to write and read accordingly." Her words sadden me. There are such different views and worlds within a few pages. "If you are ever interested, just knock on my door and I will gladly let you have any book you'd like." That brought a smile on her face. Her dark brown eyes are beautiful, almost as dark as onyx. It only caused the girl's cheek to get extremely red and for a minute I had no idea I was staring until a bit too late. "I am sorry for staring, you have beautiful eyes. I would like a cup of tea only if you join me."
Matheo was coming our way with a basket looking jovial. Her smile slightly faltered as she saw her twin. "My brother and I have plans to pick up some blueberries, Eden's birthday is tomorrow and we plan on baking her favorite cake." She put the pot down on the table next to my book. "Well the best blueberries are down by the creek. It is gorgeous down there, make sure to bring a jacket. It can be rather cold still."
"Hello Miss Keana." Matheo greeted. "Hi Matheo." We stood in awkward silence for a minute until he broke it again. "I guess we should get going, Eva is in a terrible mood and wants nothing to do with us." I just nodded and picked my book back up. "Enjoy your afternoon." Was all I said before walking back into the palace. I am sure Eden has kept her birthday a secret from Rhea, otherwise my sister would be throwing a royal ball just for her. Rhea is extravagance at its finest while Eden takes joy in simplicity, how humorous to see my sister adapt to a more free way of living.
On my way inside I crossed paths with a auburn hair beauty, though she appeared to be restless. Her eyes green as a forest in spring. A sudden memory came back, I could hear the voices in my room from time ago.
