Keana's POV
The day had gotten gray. The blue sky turning dark filled with anger ready to pour down on us earthlings. I watched as the heavy winds moved the strong willow trees as if they were merely made of carton. The servants outside were preparing the castle for the upcoming storm, so many of them looked so tired it made me sick to my stomach not being able to do something about the matter. I turned around from the window heading to the small bar of my room. Preparing a glass of strong liquor to burn down my throat as I took heavy gulps of it.
"Still afraid of storms sister?" My big sister suddenly asked out of nowhere, it was then I noticed her presence inside my chambers, Rhea can be a shadow if she decided to be one, no one would even know of her presence if she decided so.
"Those days are over." I spoke coldly, a smirk played at her lips.
"Finally the little sibling has grown." She spoke sarcastically getting up from the corner of my bed to take my drink from my hand, in one gulp it was completely gone.
"Is that the mere reason why you come to my room, to mock me with your cynical words?" I rolled my eyes moving past her. It was evident she needed something, otherwise she would avoid me like a plague.
"Do not be so sensitive Kean, I raised no sentimental laggard."
"You raised me to not be afraid of storms nor James, yet you never told me it was you whom I should be fearing and not the previously mentioned. It is not sentimentality it is precaution served directly."
"The lesson was hidden behind those I told you face to face, it was to trust no one, not even family and you failed."
"It was not a lesson, it was jealousy and cruelty." I spoke harshly. If my eyes do not betray me I almost saw an emotion ran through her aqua eyes, almost looking like guilt, but it was gone before I could blink. She hid behind her emotionless flawless smile. Making me always feel as weak as ever, yet deep inside she was the one with too many patches in her heart to cover, which made her a cold broken woman.
"Pity and sad you actually believe I could ever be jealous of you, I did not get jealous little sister, it was getting even." My fist clenched so hard I could almost feel the bones breaking under my own strength.
"Do not bring out the part of me that has been hidden for a century." If possible her smile only grew, allowing a perfect view of her perfect teeth. She made a clicking noise with her tongue as she walked around me.
"I have been craving a good fight for almost as long, please don't hold back." She spoke close to my ear in German.
"I am done giving you what you want, stay out of my way Rhea." With James in the same castle and Rhea's mockery I've pretty much have had enough of it. I was just as strong, they should treat me as a royal and not as a little kid.
"Are you interested in my servant?" She once again spoke in German, as her delicate hands pour herself another drink.
"It is not your concern if it were the case." I replied dryly. Feeling as the temperature in the room dropped. Rhea's doing when she got annoyed or angry.
With one last gulp of her drink she spoke, her turquoise eyes flaring and the golden rim even brighter than usual.
"Do not come near of what is mine, it did not end so well last time." She forcefully put the glass down on the bar table before walking out of my room. The temperature going back to normal.
Eden's POV
The heavy storm made the castle look all the more dark than normal. A silly part of me believed this was all Rhea's work. Even though she possessed no such power. The skies roared with thunder, the ground underneath my dark shoes vibrating. I was not sure of the chores for the day considering the odds.
