Eden's POV
I was currently picking flowers inside the garden Rhea has created on the roof of the castle, it was oddly my chore today to pick some flowers for her bath and dining table. It was a very calming job for a change.
There was a party of aromas that danced carelessly all around the massive space. I could not help to bring the flowers up to my nose and inhale their rich pure scent. It was beautiful, this could easily become one of my favorite spots of the castle.
I did not want to spend more time here than needed, afraid of what the queen might do if decided to take a few hours for myself. On my way down, I bumped into Keana. She was wearing a feminine blue dress with a white coat and white high heels. She looked very lovely, but yet again she always does. She smiled brightly once figuring it was me. Since the last incident we have not shared much time together.
"Well looks like the day has started brighter, how are you feeling?" She asked flashing her white set of teeth. She always made me feel better.
"The day has been good so far, so I'd like to think I am good as well." She looked at the flowers I had retrieved.
"These are very beautiful, I am sure my sister will appreciate them."
"Well that is something I'd like to witness, Rhea appreciating something other than herself." Keana smirked at that.
"Well lucky for you, she will be leaving the Country soon enough." An involuntary sigh of relief escaped my lips. I feel at more ease knowing she is not here, even though the guards remain and they are as bad as Rhea the only difference is that they are more forgetful of the rules.
"That might just make me go on vacations." I rolled my eyes playfully at the youngest sibling. She did as well, offering to carry some of the flowers to take into the dining area. It did intrigue me though. Where is the queen needed now and if so she decides to leave, is Keana also leaving with her?
"What is on your mind young one?" She asked very calm.
"Are you leaving with Rhea?" She looked thoughtful for a moment.
"Perhaps I will have to, even though I am sure my brother will accompany Rhea in her travel." I just nodded. I'd be lying if I ever said I was not hoping for her to stay behind. She would make sure everything was kept in balance, not to mention that is always nice to have someone you can have tea with while talking about a favorite quote from a famous book.
"I'm sure James would be delighted if I stayed behind." She added in all honesty. She was right, James did not seem very fond of Keana and if anything of what she said is true about Rhea protecting her, all the more reason James has to resent her. It was sad actually, if they only knew that their constant will always be one another then perhaps they would act differently.
"You must be in the correct if you express such words." She only shook her head with a bit of amusement in her dark blue eyes.
"What did you like to do for fun before coming here?" She asked out of the blue.
"Archery." Was my short response. She looked impressed at me.
"Were you any good?"
"I was quite good, I did not want to make my brothers feel bad, so I just practiced on my own faraway from my house. Sometimes my father would watch proudly. I never got to go hunting with them because my mom and dad would grow concerned if something ever happened to their daughter." I shook my head with a smile on my lips.
"Mother believed it was a mans job to go hunt for animals, a very old fashioned mindset really considering so many females in our village went hunting with their husbands and brothers. I think she was just more attached to us girls so she over protected us all the time."
