I remember the first time I turned into a wolf. I was so scared. So confused. I didn't know what to do with myself. My first instinct was to go after my family and Britton. So I did.

Britton shot at me. I was so scared.

My family ran away. I caught up. I lunged at my mother horse. She whinnied so softly, as if she knew it was me. My mother horse is no longer part of the Ranch. I ate her that night. Never again will I eat a horse.

  I laughed too loud.

Now I have made it my duty and wisdom courage strength to be a protector of the highlands. The ranch is my home. I have a power that no other horse has. I use this to my highest dear. Deer cannot escape me, though.

I see Britton sitting at the dinner table. I watch him. He is eating the pig he butchered last Wednesday. I will keep watching, and waiting. Tomorrow is a full moon.
