Chapter 17

It has been two days since we came back from our 'date'. Ryan and I have been texting and calling each other ever since we came back. He did stop coming around though because we had to focus on our finals.

"Who takes a girl out to Dubai for their first date?"

"Ryan-fucken-Stone." i say shaking my head unbelievably.

"I wish he had brothers." Ashley says. "So this means you guys are dating now right?"

"Uhm... No. Nothing was made official." i point out.

"Yeah a 'friend' that takes you to the airport in a i8 and flys you to Dubai on a private jet. In which market can we buy such friends?"

I laugh.

She smiles. "You really like him, don't you?"

I cover my eyes with both my hands like a child. "I really do Ash."

"So? What's the problem? I don't see why you two can't just make things official already. It's clear that you two want to be together." she says smiling softly.

Fear? What if im jumping the gun here? What if im reading too much into things and he only likes me as a friend?

You're kidding me right?

Oh who am i kidding.

"Its so complicated Ash. I mean i have Ry on the one hand then there's Jeremy on the other. I really like them both but im having a hard time choosing. With Ryan it feels effortless and genuine. With Jeremy it's like, i dont know, lust?"

"And you like both of their attention?"

"I do, because they both dish it out differently." i throw myself on my bed. "Im so confused Ash. I never thought neither of them would give me this much attention."

"Well by the looks of it, they both really like you."

"And so do I. But it's causing tension between them and I can't help feel like im the root of the problem. I mean things were just fine between them before I came into the picture."

"Nooo. Things were just fine until Jeremy suddenly had feelings for you too."

I laugh. "Im assuming you're team Ryan?"

She smirks. "Of course I am. But that's only because he's not toying with you. I don't know, but Jeremy's sudden feelings for you seems a little sketchy. Why now? Why is he only acting on his feelings now when he has always knew that you liked him?"

I kept quiet, this somewhat making sense to me.

"Do you think im letting my feelings for him blind me me?"

"I mean, you've had the longest crush on him so you're practically married in your head."

We chuckle. "Im so fucked." i say.

Today i was officially finished with my exams! I wrote that final paper and i knew i went out with a bang.

Although i was in high spirits, i had a bad feeling that something wasn't right. You know that strong gut feeling? That's what I was experiencing right now.

As i was making my way out the school gates with the other overly excited pupils, i felt someone pull my hand and leading me away from the crowd.

"Hey Parker." he says flashing his heart stopping smile.

I blush and respond. "Hey Stone."

"I just wanted to thank you for all the help. You really have been my knight and shining amor." he smirks.
