Jeremy's POV
"Young Prince." our family mage greets me.
"Mona." i nod.
"Your mother has requested for my presence."
"Oh." I call one of the maids to go get my mother.
"Prince Jeremy seems happier these days."
"Its visible?" I ask with a smile on my face.
"Indeed. I can feel that you're in good spirits and you're content. May I ask who is the reason for this happiness that's oozing out of you?"
"I think im in love." i answer honestly.
"In love? Oh my. With who?"
"Caroline Parker." i admit.
Yes, it's indeed true that the Parker princess managed to steal my heart. It wasn't all a game anymore because to me, she turned out to be the center of my universe in just a short period of time.
She's suddenly not so excited for me anymore as she wears a worried expression on her face. Or is it a disapproving one?
"What's wrong?"
"Caroline Parker? As in the daughter of the Vampire Queen and Dark Lord?"
"Exactly that one."
"Hmmmm."
"Hmmmm?"
"Hmmmm."
"If you have something to say Mona, you can. If it's something negative i wont give two shits, but it's fine, I'll give you the platform to speak."
"Jeremy, you're practically the son I've never had. Your best interests and safety are always at heart, that's why im a bit skeptical about this relationship."
"Why?"
"Oh come on. Both you and I know that you aren't the loyal type. You change your girls like you're changing your underwear."
I mean yeah sure, she had a point. This entire thing started off as a joke but now im actually attracted to this girl, and i dont know, but with her, im willing to do things differently. I want to.
"How about we determine whether or not this relationship is going to be worth it or not? Let's see how all of this is going to end." she says already setting up everything.
"So, we're going to look into the future?" i ask trying to make sense of what we were going to do.
"Precisely."
After a few minutes of her speaking in tongue and throwing different colour powders all over the place, i still don't see what she did.
I don't think she's doing this right... This is an Egyptian carpet, my mom won't be pleased.
"Oh my."
"What is it?" i ask intrigued, kneeling as well.
What could she be seeing? Is it good? Could it be that we live happily ever after? That i actually change my ways and make her the happiest she's ever been? I can already feel it myself. I was destinated to be with her. I love her.
Mona still doesn't say anything. She's still kneeling, her eyes black as midnight looking up in the ceiling.
"Mona?"
