Chapter 13

Ryan and I have been getting along real good and it was so fun having him around.

Than there was Jeremy on the side.

We talked almost every day on the phone if we didn't get a chance to talk at school.

Yesterday I was summoned to his castle by him. I went there as princess Caroline because I assumed we would talk about important things that would affect both our Kingdoms and families.

So can you imagine my surprise when I got there and he had planned an entire date by their private waterfall.

The blanket we would sit on had my face on it. How and when he did that, i have no idea. There was also a photographer there to take those unexpected pictures "we would cherish forever" according to him. If you thought that's was bad, you should have heard him drop little love quotes here and there. He became Jeremy Shakespeare in a neno second.

To say i was shocked was an understatement, but I was very appreciative of the cute gesture.

He chuckles than looks down. "You're actually really beautiful Caroline. Both inside and out. I can't believe I've never seen any of this before."

He says sounding so genuine i find myself blushing but than a thought comes into mind.

"But why now? So suddenly?"

His smile grows wider as he locks eyes with me. "Its like i woke up one day and realized that I had an angel right in front of me, and I would be an idiot to miss out on the opportunity of you making me happy and me making you happier."

My heart melts at his words and i look into his eyes to search for the slightest thing that would tell me that he is lying, and i found... Nothing.

I blush and look down while he grabs my hand and kisses the back of it.

I frown as I ask the next question. "Jeremy, what's going on between you and Ryan?"

He lets out a sigh while looking down. He looks up and asks, "Do you really want to know?"

I think intently and answer, "I do."

"Ryan is a great guy, a fantastic one, i mean without him i don't know how i would have made it past high school." he starts. "But one thing Ryan doesn't understand is that im very territorial and possessive, especially over what's mine. When he disregards that, he is disrespecting me and i dont take that too well." he finishes.

Oh.

"Oh, i understand. But I mean, this is your best friend we are talking about, can't you talk it out?"

His face turns stone cold. "We can't. I've given him too many chances as it is."

After that I decide to keep my mouth shut and not ruin the moment further.

Why is he making it seem like Ryan is a bad guy? I don't get that type of vibe from him. I mean he said it himself, Ry is his best friend so im sure he isn't implicating cancel culture based on this one mistake... Right?

Having feelings for both these guys was really making it hard for me to try and make sense of this situation.

I mean with Jeremy it's a dream come true. But I sometimes feel like at times things are forced. He feels the need to do over do things just to spend time with me.

However with Ry, everything is so natural. Him staring at me makes me hot all over. Me smiling causes his smile to grow wider. His laugh makes my heart happy and my eyes are his favorite sight. We could literally talk about everything and anything the entire day and it would still feel like it wasn't enough time.

"But don't let Ryan and I stress you out princess. We'll be okay. Alright?"

I give him a little smile and nod although I had a good feeling that I was the cause of all of this tension.

The rest of the date goes well but it turns into a whole interview about a self centered Jeremy. I listen as he goes on and on about himself not caring that i was now bored.

Her phone vibrates silently notifying her of a new text message. She smiles brightly when she sees a text from Ryan.

Ryan: Parker.

She glances at Jeremy and he is still going on about the weight of his name and so on. He doesn't even look at her as he speaks, he was clearly in the zone.

She texts him almost immediately.

Caroline: Stone.

Ryan: Oh thank God you're online. I was slowly starting to lose my mind, that's how bored i am. How about i ditch training and come over?

Caroline: Sounds like a plan.

Ryan's P.O.V

Caroline's parents were around for the rest of the week, but be that as it may, i was still going to see her.

It was 9pm when I expertly sneaked into the castle and entered her room through the window.

"How little do you value your life Stone?" she asks me with a smile as soon as i fully stepped into her room.

I smiled back. "The things i do for you Parker..."

She does my favorite thing in the world and she blushes. I love doing that to her. She looked so beautiful even with just her pajamas on and her hair just let loose behind her back. I couldn't get over how she made my heart skip a beat each time i saw her.

I can't stop myself from gently grabbing her and pulling her into my arms, excited that im feeling her warmth again. I inhale her scent and im instantly brought at peace.

I hear a soft giggle coming from her. "Ry?" my heart accelerates as i hear her soft voice call out my name. "Standing on my toes is starting to hurt."

I unwilling pull away from her feeling like an idiot. "Im sorry." i chuckle as she smiles up at me.

We stare into each other's eyes as we slowly feel the room pull away. This time im the first one to put a stop to yet another moment.

I turn around and grab the white medium bakery box i came with from the window seal.

"Uhm, I bought you something." i say handing it to her. "Its nothing big, i just saw it and thought of you." i say hating how nervous I sounded.

She opens the box and her eyes are met with a jumbo chocolate chip muffin with vanilla icing and a rainbow sprinkled Mickey Mouse cookie on top.

Her eyes sparkle with joy as her smile spreads wide on her face. "I don't know how you expect me to eat something this cute!" she says looking up at me.

"Thank you Ry." she says giving me another grief hug and a unexpected kiss on the cheek.

She gently pulls me to sit on the edge of the bed with her.

We ended up speaking for a couple of hours, trying to be as silent as we can.

I take a glance at the my watch while my laugh dies out. "Woah Parker I need to get going..."

She pouts. "So soon?"

I chuckle. "Its almost midnight."

"Really? Oh my gosh i didn't realise."

We both stand as she walks me to the window. "Thank you for the visit Stone. You really made my night."

"Likewise Parker." i say smiling down at her.

We have another moment and i decide-very bravely-to give her a kiss on her cheek before i leave.

Caroline is left looking at his retreating back from the window, smiling and blushing so much, her cheeks hurt.
