Katie's P.O.V
Today Caroline and I are meeting one of our favorite designers- who we flew all the way from Italy- so we can hear his ideas for the dramatic gowns we want to wear for the upcoming gala.
The meeting goes beautifully, although i was doing most of the talking and Caroline looked like she opted for every option Lloyd offered which was unlike her. Caroline loved her things designed from scratch because all her dresses weren't only expensive but unique.
After the meeting, we decided to pick out a few things for the house.
As we were shopping I noticed that she was rather quiet then usual and she agreed to buy every home appliance i showed her. It was odd, I mean yes we are in one of the most expensive home design stores but she always said i had terrible taste in interior design hence she flew out a interior designer from Barcelona to come renovate the house.
But I ignored all of that and we carried on shopping. It was a great day for some ice cream so i suggested we go get some, although she really wasn't a fan.
I mean who doesn't like ice cream? Caroline Parker. Answered my wolf.
I had a strawberry sundae and knowing her, she would eat anything with an Oreo at least, but she surprised the shit out of me when she ordered a banana spilt sundae with extra bananas.
Call me crazy but, she is different. Something has changed about her. She ordered something she was allergic to. I know my best friend and this is definitely not the Caroline I know.
I had to do something to test her.
I started laughing suddenly, cutting straight to the chase. "Hey Cee, remember when my sister was stuck with a tiger in its cage the other day? She was so scared!"
She laughed. "Oh yeah I remember, she made my day oh my gosh."
'You were right!' Said my wolf.
Of course I was. I don't even have a sister.
"How about we head home?" I asked. I had to tell Ryan about this.
"Yeah sure I'm exhausted."
The drive home was silent of course because whoever this is, has no idea what Caroline and I even talk about.
By the time we got home she went upstairs to rest and that gave me an opportunity to get the squad.
You don't even have to stress about looking for Elijah and Mike. They are always in the kitchen thinking about what to eat next.
"Hey guys."
"Oh great she's back." said Mike sarcastically then he rolled his eyes. This one still likes me. Cute.
"Hey Katie, what's up?" asked Elijah.
"Have you noticed anything different about Caroline?"
"Uhm...no, why?" asked Elijah.
"Because I spent the day with her and she has been acting really weird."
"What do you mean?" asked Mike.
"Like, she's been...off. At first I thought it was the big fight she had with Ryan but, now I realise it's something else."
"Give her time. I mean she hasn't been herself and Ryan is trying all he can to make her feel better. She just feels bad about hurting Ryan that's all." said Elijah.
"I hope you guys are right but I still stand by the fact that she's not the Caroline we know."
