Elijah's P.O.V

"You have some nerve don't you?" asked the guard at the gate.

"Dude is he here or not?" I asked, running out of patience.

"The last time your kind was here, you took our princess and now you have the nerve to show up here? I won't be surprised if the Prince ends you before you even get a chance to talk. I will gladly dispose of your body." he said with a smirk, his eyes giving off that he meant each and every word.

The only thing that crossed my mind at that moment was to take him up on his challenge, only, I would be disposing his body. But i had to focus, this wasn't what I was here for. Something had happened to my Luna and i had to find out what.

"This is very important. It's about the princess, she's in grave danger." I said honestly.

This seemed to get his attention. I knew how much both families cared for Caroline, and they would kill for her any day, any time, regardless of what happened on the day they had declared bloodshed.

He hesitated to open the gate at first but then opened eventually. As soon as i took my first step, four more guards surfaced then when they got to me they searched me for anything that would bring harm to their precious Prince.

Once i was verified to enter, we started making our way on the long pathway leading to the castle.

The castle was surrounded by guards. They seem to be about doubled or tripled compared to the last time we were here.

Ah see, they are being proactive now. All thanks to us, so I'd say everything worked out well. I smirked at my inside jokes.

On the roof top were about five more guards who were heavily armed and they watched my every move as I proceeded to enter the castle.

Inside there were four more guards yet again just roaming the house. Okay this is a bit over the top now.

We entered a room that looked like it was Jeremy's man made heaven. He had a large pool table, expensive cigars, hot girls, music pumping through the speakers and everything else that created a man cave paradise.

Damn! Why wasn't i best friends with him? This is heaven on Earth.

Jeremy had a girl sitting on his lap, and they were making out by the looks of it.

Caroline was actually married to this guy?

"What is it werewolf, im busy." he said although his attention was drawn to the half naked human girl on his lap. So let me rephrase. He said although his attention was drawn to his food.

"Caroline's in trouble." i said knowing that would get his full attention.

He stood up at lightning speed and announced, "All of you, get out. Now!" the music immediately stopped playing and everyone left the room like their lives depended on it. Also, did he just literally throw that girl aside?

"What happened and who did it?!" he asked once everyone was out of the room.

"She's uhm, how can I say it..." i said trying to find the right words without sounding like i have completely lost it.

"Say. It." He said through clenched teeth. He's eyes a dark glowing freakish blue, his fangs showing too.

"It happened after she and Ryan had this huge fight. She told me she was going to stay with her uncle in Europe. I went back to report to Ryan but she tricked me into buying her some time to get away. The following day she returned suddenly and she apologised for disappearing. And now that i think of it, she had changed her clothes and i dont understand how because she left her closet untouched. But that's when it began."

"That's when what began?"

"She's acting strange. She's eating things she doesn't normally eat, such as bananas, peppermint, nuts...you know things like that. The way she dresses is different too. She's always overdressed for some reason and after running she needs to catch her breath. And I'm not the only one who has noticed this behavior, the pack has too."

"That is weird. So what do you need me to do? Because surely you have taken this up with your alpha." he asked finally.

"Ryan doesn't believe us. When she disappeared that day, he thought for sure that he will never see her again. So he is trying to do everything he can to make her stay." I scoffed. "Including being blinded by the love he has for her."

"So what's your plan?" he asked in a mocking tone.

"To get her to give us information then kill her. I tried doing that on my own but I was nearly killed by my own best friend."

"If you haven't noticed, Ryan would do anything for Caroline. Best friend or not, blood or not, he will kill you if he has to. Believe me I know." he said taking a swing at his whiskey. "The whole 'bros over hoes' thing didn't apply to him."

He was right. Ryan would do anything for family. He would do whatever it takes. Which got me thinking too...Would his loyalty for Caroline blind him to hurt me in any way for whatever reason?

"But from what you're saying this person did something to Caroline because she disappeared without a trace then suddenly she appears. I'm thinking this involves a mage because there is some sort of magic involved. I'll help you, but we need a plan."

"I forgot to mention that she has a routine suddenly. If i remember correctly she always told me she hates having one because her father once told her that it could get you killed. But her routine consists of her always going out for breakfast with Ryan."

"No, that won't work, we need her alone. Even if we stage something, Ryan will fight and rather die then for her to be harmed." he says his glass still in his hand looking at it.

"True. She's always going to her castle too. She regularly travels in the Bentley."

"We could hijack her. Or one of us sneaks in the car and we drive her here and get to work." he proposes.

"It won't work. All our drivers have the best military training. So they'll be her body guards at the same time. Don't even get me started on weapons they carry around. Top of the range military guns. They will put a bullet through our skulls quicker then we can even grasp what's happening."

He rolls his eyes and puts his glass down. "Ryan is a dramatic bastard. Where the fuck did he even get military weapons from?"

"Elizer doesn't compromise on his children's safety. He has a connection back in South Africa and that family delivers what he needs. He made sure all our weapons were replaced with this guy's stuff."

He shakes his head.

"She does go to Durrent around 13:00pm and she always comes back at 16:45pm. So that means it's our only window. Its the only time she's alone, so it will be easier to get her here in case she becomes difficult."

"Alright. I'll go get her, it would raise a lot of questions if you did."

I nod my head.

"Tomorrow it is then." he said drinking his alcohol once again.

"Oh and Jeremy, this doesn't get to Ryan. It stays here." I said.

"Yeah and don't get used to all of this. I'm only doing all of this for Caroline. Let this be the last time, because if my princess is in danger once again-under your watch-I will take her."

"Believe me, my Luna has always been taken care of and protected." i said emphasising 'my luna' to remind him who Caroline really belongs to.

"But I must let you in on something..." he said taking a step closer now eye level with me. "If Caroline really is hurt, I promise you, I will pull hearts out of chests." He finished.

"Oh young Prince, I'd be very disappointed if you didn't." I smirked.
