The next morning, Jordan asked me for my number so we could text about hanging out. "Um, I don't know. Are you in some gang plan to seduce me or something?"
"No!! It is just that I think it would really help our work and stuff if we could text about it." He exclaimed. In all honesty, I wasn't sure I believed him.
I shrugged. "Whatever you say," and gave him my number.
"Thanks! And can you meet up today?" He asked. I thought we had clarified last time about it being a yes, but I just nodded before hurrying to class.
A few minutes later, it dawned on me that leaving Jordan next to my locker wasn't really a good idea. My locker never really worked, and he could easily get in and steal something from it. If he wanted. I sighed. I just couldn't read Jordan. He was really cute, and I liked him a lot, but was he for me or against me? And, why me? He probably knew I liked him and was trying to use that against me in an attempt to capture me. That man was probably right. I wanted to tell Jordan about that man, but I wasn't sure if that would be good or bad.
"Hey Em," Ash said, as she sashayed down the aisle. "You weren't by your locker and Ri says you were 'off' during the bus ride."
I shrugged. "Just tired," I mumbled. "But I'm fine."
"Are you sure it has nothing to do with that Scoffenstein boy?" Ash asked as if she could read me.
I shook my head no even thought that was such a lie. It had everything to do with Jordan. Ugh.
