"Hello, my name is Melinda Richardson and I will be your Group Advisor for the following training sessions." She was a stout lady, that possessed a natural sense of self confidence. Her silky, waterfall length hair, glimmered in a smooth nun as she walked around the classroom, examining all the kids like objects in a museum. Her slanted glasses perched at the bridge of her nose made her give off the librarian like sense, but one of her intimidating, predator sensing prey, looks could send a million chrystal nerves spiraling down your back. "Our first training session will cover the basics of your powers. You will learn what all your powers are through a Test. Some of your powers have been kept hidden from you. And some, you have been lied to about having in the first place. We will conduct the Test and then you will be given booklets to explain everything you need to know about yourself and your abilities."
The room sat in a heavy silence as the teacher's every syllable fell on us like tiny raindrops, breaking the barrier and absorbing into our awestruck minds.
"We will go by first name order into the Test. First, Anna."
A small wispy girl stood up and smiled with a little wave to the crowd. I recognized her faintly but I didn't know my group that well yet.
Then, she nimbly took her place at the enterance to one of the testing rooms.
Names were called until I heard "Emily," and hopped up, making my way to the rear Test room.
"Just for you," a cheerful, colorful lady exclaimed, handing me a number on a short ticket. "When they call your number, enter the booths."
A few minutes later, the two words: "Twenty six," boomed across the room.
I was up.
