It didn't matter how hard I tried the key wouldn't fit in the damn lock, making me think of an endlessly list of curses.
I snorted frustrated, kicking the door so hard, that the toes under my black converse hurt.
I was missing Sydney already.
"I don't think that's the right way to open a door." a voice as soft as velet said behind me.
I turned ashamed, to face the perfection in person.
I felt my mouth pull slightly open and how my eyes sparkled at so much beauty.
A skinny but fit boy, with ivory skin, and dark blond hair was just in front of me and the blue suitcases I dropped next to my feet when I arrived.
"Emm ... Ah," great now I was unable to make a sentence or anything with meaning.
"Let me guess, you're Dawn, right?" he asked smiling showing a perfect row of white teeth, framed by what seemed some soft and rosy lips.
He was the most beautiful thing I have seen since I arrived here in Venice.
"Sharon's best friend?" he asked doubtful.
Damn it! Was it necessary to slap my face to come to my senses? Well, maybe, to react I just shook my head a little.
"Yes, yes, the answer to the both questions is yes.
He smiled even more, like he knew me for a long time, making me fall in pieces which was new to me.
"Can't open the door?" he inquired.
"Uh? No, no.." My head turned to face the floor, just to hide the rosy colour on my cheeks, "The key doesn't fit."
"Hmm.. Let me try," he said stretching his hand open at me to give him the keys.
I dared to rise my gaze to look directly at his face, he possessed the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.
You could think Picasso himself had painted a work of art using green and Hazel as the colours of his creation.
I handed him the key trusting that beautiful stranger.
He reached the door, trying to open it like I did minutes ago.
"Hmm.." he looked at me. "I think you got the wrong key."
"Really?" I said sarcastic.
He laughed, the blow of his laughter touched my face.
I forced myself to come back to earth, because I've just reached the last cloud in heaven.
"Do you live 'round here?" I asked full of hope.
Wanting him to say yes so I would get the chance to see him more often.
"No." he shrugged.
"So.. Why do you know I'm friends with the girl who lives here?" I frowned "Sharon Bauer lives here, right?" I asked again.
He laughed, I didn't understand what of all this was fun. Maybe he did.
"Yes, Sharon lives here," he said pointing the apartment with the numbers 312 on the door "It's weird not finding her at home," he said amazed, "and well she told me about you, and that you were coming today, she was pretty exited about it." he gave me a little smile
"And you are?..." I asked frowning again, like I always do.
