The evening had arrived and the sun was set when we got to the apartment. It had been a wonderful day and even though I felt kinda guilty for using Michael to cause jealousy on Ashton I felt really good.
"Today was a wonderful day Dawnie, don't you think?" said Michael with a smile spread across his lips.
"It was!" I agreed with him, "thank you Mikey!"
I leaned in to kiss his rosy cheek, and I mentally crossed my fingers, trying to earn a frown from Ashton's face.
I looks at him from the corner of my eye, he had his hands in his pockets and his gaze on the floor, I admit I felt a little disappointed and the Shrew felt to.
"Goodbye Mikey!" I gave him a wide smile.
"Ciao mia principessa." he said shyly, going into his aunt's apartment. ("Goodbye my princess.")
I turned around to find a smiley Ashton, my pathetic way to make him jealous didn't work?.
"He forgot to say goodbye to me!" pointed Ashton funny.
"He's always distracted you know that, don't take it in the wrong way," I assured him, opening the door as he walked behind me.
"It's 6:30, what do you want to do?" he asked me closing the door.
"I walked all over the Plaza so I don't feel in the mood to do something that requires the rest of my energies." I muttered letting myself fall on the couch and putting my red Rose on the coffee table beside it.
"Then... Wanna play poker?"
"No!, you always win!" I complained at his poker skill, as I sucked at it I didn't want to play.
"Let's watch a movie then!" he proposed excitedly.
"No!, I've watched all the movies Sharon's got here in the apartment and I don't wanna go to a video club to rent another one, sorry."
"Let's play ten questions!" he insisted.
"I think I can do that sitting here." I crossed my legs, shifting my weight on the couch to find the perfect position to be face-to-face with Ashton.
"You start!" he said to me.
"You told me you were into music, but, have you ever written a song?"
"I have, but they're not as good as I want them to be though." he answered ashamed looking down.
"I'm pretty sure they're good!" I cheered.
"Next question!" he said laughing.
"Are you ever going to show me one of your songs?"
He laughed at my insistence.
"Okay, one day I will!" he surrendered.
"Let's see... Any tickle point?"
"Mmm... My neck," he said nonchalantly.
"What about your future," I asked curious.
He snugged elegantly.
"I'm not really sure, but one thing is true, I won't be a lawyer like Luke, hell no!, I'll be a songwriter or a musician!" he smiled proud of himself.
"Oh my god! That would be so awesome!"
"Thanks!"
"What are your songs about?"
"My life, myself, love." he answered shrugging again.
The little shrew moved impatient in my stomach, making me ask.
"Have you ever written a sing about Sharon?" I inquired, afraid of the answer, not only because the little shrew was stubborn, but also fragile, he remained silent and the little shrew started moving impatiently.
"It's hard to admit," he looked down. "but, no." he muttered.
The little shrew sighed relieved.
"Why not?!" seriously, the curiosity always gets the best of me.
"It's that..." he put his hand on his head, messing his curls even more, "I've tried, I really have, but I just... The words... They weren't good... I didn't like them!"
"But you know what?, you tried at least."
"I suppose."
"Well, what's the first thing you thought when you first saw me?"
"That you were Sharon's friend," he said smiling.
"Don't be stupid!, you already knew that, I'm talking about the first impression I gave you."
"Oh, that, well when I saw you struggling with the door I thought you were funny, and when you followed the conversation I thought you were sociable and then I deduced you were nice because it was easy to laugh with you."
"Oh, thanks," I muttered slightly blushed.
"Next question."
"What do you miss from Sydney?"
"I would say that my family, but they live here with me so.." he thought for a second in the answer, "college, I liked the parties," he laughed and I laughed along, his laugh was so contagious, "next and last question."
"Are you counting them?!"
"Of course I am, this game is called '10 Q', so why wouldn't I?"
"Okay, okay."
I didn't know what to ask, but then the question that had been running through my mind for a long time appeared, but I didn't know if it was prudent to ask, however the Shrew insisted and insisted until the words were spit from my mouth.
"Why you left Australia?"
He fell silent and looked away, "Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!!!" repeated constantly a voice inside my head, if he haven't told Sharon why on earth would he tell me?!.
