The overwhelming nightmare woke me, my body was pearled with sweat drops, and this cold, frightening sensation that forced me to open my eyes.

My parent's car crash had displayed that night in my dreams.

I watched the clock, it was just 7:42 in the morning.

I sighed getting up from bed and making it, as I slept with the clothes I used yesterday I took a shower and changed.

I went to the kitchen, since Sharon wasn't still awake I decided to prepare her breakfast.

I made fried eggs, bacon and orange juice, she lived in Venice but she still was the American-Aussie I grew up with.

"Mmm, what is that smell?" she said coming out of her room directly to the kitchen.

"I prepared your breakfast," I said serving the food in her plate depositing it in the kitchen counter.

"I'm so glad you're here." we both laughed eating our very American breakfast.

"Do you have any plans for today?" she asked, putting down her plate in the dishwasher.

"No, I thought you has scheduled the day for me," I looked at her confused.

Her smile made presence in her features, "I just wanted to make sure you didn't forget it." she giggled, "I'll take you to the best shops you've ever seen in your entire life!" her eyes glittering with excitement.

"Great." I muttered.

Clothes. I wasn't a shopaholic, a fashionista or anything close to it, so I didn't get excited everytime I went shopping, but Sharon was the complete opposite, each time we went shopping she ended with 5 or more bags in her hands.

--------(^.^)--------

It was cold outside, and the gelid wind was now surrounding me and my best friend throughout Venice's sidewalks.

"What happened to Al? You never told me about it." she said breaking the silence between us, "I mean, how did you forget him?"

"Oh, well, I decided to get over him, that's pretty much it." I shrugged focusing now on a beautiful brown coat in front of me.

And now Sharon's silhouette was drawn next to mine, and a sudden curiosity came to me like the rush you get when you're running after someone.

"Tell me Sharon, how did you meet Ashton?" I asked still looking at the coat, nervous.

Something really weird.

"In a café, it was a rainy day," she sighed, I looked at her to bring her back to the real world, "he came to me and started talking, he's so funny!" she stopped for a second and then continued talking, "he told me he was from Australia, as we are, that he was born in Sydney and that grew up there too, and that he came for the same reason as me: to forget a love from the past, he asked me for my number, and he called me that same night just to say goodnight." she sighed theatrically.

"It sounds like.... A fairytale." I pointed out.

"I feel like I'm living one, Oh my God!, I'm so happy!" she jumped full of joy and hugged me, thing she always did when she was excited.

"And... How old is he?" I said.

"Twenty-three."

"Oh, Okay, there's not a big difference, you're twenty-one." I said relieved.

"You know what people say about us?" she asked me looking directly in my chocolate eyes.

"What?"

"That we're the perfect couple, that we're the perfect match, and that we were born to be together." she smiled.

I was happy for her, I really was, but there also was something moving inside of me, really deep inside of me was moving uncomfortable and desperate. Like a small shrew caged in a little dark room, so far from the door, but still willing to breakthrough.

"I'm so happy for you." I said giving her a little smile.

"I know you are!, and one of these days we all can go out so I can introduce you to.." she commented but I interrupted her.

"All?"
