"Yes, Ashton, Luke, you and me!" she exclaime.
"Who's Luke?" I asked even more confused.
"Ashton's brother." she replied.
So I remembered when she was talking to Ashton yesterday and they said something about Luke returning a cd.
"I'll call Ashton to organise everything!" she cheered giving small jumps like a little kid.
But that's how she is: sweet, tender, loving, fragile and enthusiastic. She was more like a little girl bottled up in a twenty-one-years-old-woman.
"Hey!" I muttered abruptly changing the subject, "I want you to take to The Bridge Of Sighs, so I can take some pictures there."
"Why would you want to go there?, that place is not big deal, you should go to Plaza San Marcos, tons of photographers go there to take pictures." she commented.
"I know, that's why I don't want to go there, I don't want something common, you know me," I shrugged to myself.
"But, you should also go to Palazzo Ducale, you can take really good pictures there."
"To the what?! Can you please speak in English?!"
"Ok, Ok," she rested her hands in my shoulders to calm me down, "The Ducal Palace."
"Thanks, now, would you take me to The Bridge Of Sighs?" she stared blankly at me. And I laughed quietly.
"Okay, I'll take you tomorrow." she lifted her hands in surrender.
"Thanks!" I cheered and hugged her, now it was me who was acting like a little kid.
We kept walking down Venice's streets, entering in almost all the clothing stores around us.
We ate at a small restaurant, and when we were done, we started our way to Sharon's apartment, when we got there I was so tired that I could feel my body crumbling down in pieces.
It was now seven thirty and we heard someone calling at the door.
"It's Ashton!!" she cheered running to the door in order to open it.
I turned my gaze to the door, not paying attention to the TV anymore, willing to see his perfect features.
"Babe!!" she jumped in his arms the minute the door went wide-open and he hugged her back.
I felt the small shrew moving uncomfortable again in her cage.
"Come on in," she gestured him.
I returned my attention to the TV trying to look like I didn't see what she just did.
"Dawn! Hi." my name sounded so melodically and different to the other voices that had put their voices in it he made it seem so unique and beautiful.
I turned again to look at him and admire his perfection.
"Hello there Ashton," I greeted him giving away a huge smile.
"So, how was your first day in Venice?" he asked smiling too, and now his dimples were visible to me.
"Tired," I laughed, because I remembered that was the same adjective I used when he asked me about the flight.
He laughed the same way I did so I presume he remembered that too.
"I hope the rest of your days here won't be so tired." he commented with a even bigger smile plastered on his face, he looked back at Sharon so he was able to make a conversation with her instead of me.
I turned back to the TV screen, but I was paying more attention to their conversation, than to the Italian TV show on the TV, besides I didn't understand anything because it was all in Italian.
"Honey, are you nervous?" he asked her.
"Nervous about what?" she inquired even more confused.
"Your job interview," he reminded her.
"Tomorrow is seven?" she asked alarmed "Oh My God!"
I looked at her.
"A job interview?, that sounds really great!" I asked excited.
"Yes and Oh!..." she remained silent for a few seconds, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry!" she now was closer to me, "I totally forgot about the interview."
It took me a seconds to know what she was talking about.
"Oh Sharon, don't worry," I smiled at her, "we'll go other day."
"You're not mad at me?" she asked a bit nervous.
"No, Not at all, which job are you applying to?"
"Nursery, in the hospital of the Isla De Torcello, I have an incredible idea!" she sudden said like the first thing she talked about wasn't a big deal anymore, "babe," she turned her attention back to Ashton, "can you please take Dawnie to Il Ponte Dei Suspiri?"
My eyes went wide-open at this surprising favour Sharon was asking to Ashton, and I looked at his face as beautiful as an angel's, and his Hazel-green eyes were staring at me to.
