After years of watering down
and adding sugar
 to bitter,
dark,
burnt coffee...
I realized
I had never truly enjoyed
sharing my mornings
with that type of coffee,
it was simply a distraction,
a way to kill time.
                              By accident,
I had found
 a milder,
more refined,
complex coffee,
without the caffeine
and realized I love it,
strong,
and unsweetened,
at any time of the day.
                              As I sit here tonight
trying to enjoy a cup
 to calm myself
amidst your bitterness,
hopelessness,
and anger,
it occurs to me...
                              perhaps another brand
of company
would suit my palette...
