Ch.2: Off to Chicago

Theo POV:

I walk up the steps to my house and see Ruth on my couch.
"Ruth, get out of my house." I say.
"Awww. You're no fun."
"Just get out."
"But--"
"Get the hell out!"
She glares at me and walks out. I run my hand through my hair.
I think about Shailene and how beautiful she is.
The my phone buzzes.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Theo, dear." It my mom.
"Mom! How are you?"
"I'm great. So how did the audition go?"
"I got the part."
"I heard Shailene Woodley is the lead female. She is very beautiful."
"She is and she is very kind, and loves nature."
"Well that's great. I like her already. Sorry for bothering, it just gets rather lonely here."
"Mom you are never a bother. Call me whenever you need."
"I love you, Theodore."
"Love you too, Mom."
"Bye."
"Bye."
I hang up.

Shailene POV:

I wake up the next morning early. I brush my teeth. I put on a gray sports bra and black shorts. I go for a jog.
When I am halfway down the street I see Theo.
"Hey Theo!" I call.
He jogs over to me.
"Hey Shailene."
"I didn't know you lived near me." I say.
"Neither did I." He says and I laugh.
"Want to go for breakfast?" He asks me.
"Sure, just let me go get washed up. Be back in a few." I say and jog back to my house.
I take a quick shower. I change into gray skinny jeans, White shirt, and black vans.
I run back to Theo and he is leaning in his car in a red and white plaid shirt, and jeans. I smile at him gratefully as he opens the passenger seat door for me.
My phone starts to ring.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Shai! It's Tanner. Can you come make dinner tonight?"
"Why?"
"Because only dad likes to do it on Tuesdays."
"Oh. So basically. You are using me so you can't eat dad's terrible cooking." I say laughing.
"Basically."
"I'll see what I can do."
"Love you Shai."
"Love you too, Tanner."
I hang up.
"Shai. You are breath taking. You are healthy but you also like junk food. You like to watch Disney movies when you're feeling sad and I can say, you're not like other women." Theo says.
"I hope that's a good thing." I say.
"It is." He says smiling.
We reach the studio and walk in.
I see Neil, Veronica, Ansel, Miles, Zoe, Jai and a few other people.
"Alright everyone. Tomorrow, we will be boarding the plane to Chicago. Right now, mingle and get to know each other." Veronica says.
We walk over to Miles, Zoe, and Ansel.
"Hey guys." I say.
"Hey."
I look at Theo and he smiles.
"I am so hungry." Zoe says. "Shai come with me to get food."
She pulls me with her and I giggle.
"You totally like Theo." She says.
"Do I now?"
"Yes!"
"I need set you guys up."
"Nope. We're fine. I mean, I'm fine. I mean, Shut up Shailene."
Zoe laughs at me.
We walk back to the boys.
"Can't wait for the movie." Zoe says. Ansel and I start laughing.
"I still can't get over the fact that you play my brother in this movie and then my lover in the next one." I say and Ansel laughs even more.
We calm down.
"Alright! Now get home and get packing." Neil says.
I look at Zoe.
"Oh no. Cover your ears." Miles says and they cover them.
Zoe and I start squealing.
They uncover their ears.
"Theo, I am gonna leave with Zoe. We have some things to do." I say smiling at him.
"No problem." He says returning the smile.
Zoe nudge my shoulders and I know I turn red.
She starts laughing.
"Bye guys." I say pulling her outside.

Zoe and I shopped for 5 hours. She brought all her stuff with her to my house. I get back home and pack all my things. She fell asleep two hours ago. I fall asleep on my couch thinking about Theo.

I wake up the next morning at 8:45. I wake Zoe up. We take our showers and get dress.
I put on red skinny jeans, white shirts, and my black sandals.
I hear a honk outside. They is a black limo waiting to escort us to the Airport.
Thirty minutes later, I'm off to Chicago.
