Ch. 16: Oh...

Theo POV:

I walk to the mall and go inside on of the stores.
I see 'Terry,' Zoe, and Shailene go into one of the stalls. Zoe in one. Shailene and 'Terry' in the other.
I start panicking.
Few minutes later Shailene and 'Terry' walk out.
I grab Shailene.
"What the hell, Theo!" She yells.
"What are you doing in a dressing room with some guy!?" I ask her.
"First, He is not 'some guy.' He's Terrence, my best friend. And second, if I am in a dressing room with some guy I would be glad it wasn't you, you bastard." She says.
I am taken back her words.
"Shai--" She cutts me off.
"No don't Shai me! You are a freaking hypocrite! You ask a girl out right in front of my face and then when I go out with my friends, you have a problem. Because her voice sounds, oh so amazing!"
"But I don't go in a dressing with a girl just to try on clothes."
"Terrence is gay!"
"Maybe you of told me!"
She slaps me and then stomps my foot.
"You asshole." She says and then she walks out.
Zoe and Terrence exchange glances.
I stand there in pain.
Because my face hurts, my foot hurts, and my heart is broken.

Shailene POV:

I go to the private area on top of the building Theo took me. I cry. Then my phone starts ringing.
I answer.
"Hello?" I say.
"Hey Shai!" Megan yells from the other side.
"Hey Meg."
"I'm coming to Chicago!"
"Really! When?!"
"I'm on the plane!"
I laugh.
"Text me your address and we will hang out tomorrow." She says.
"Alright. See you tomorrow." I say and hang up the phone.
I get a text.
Shai! Don't forget the haircut appointment tomorrow! -Julia.
Okai, but I'm bringing Megan -Shai
Alright bye -Julia
Bye -Shai
I let the tears run down my face and I look out to the city and let the wind blow through my hair.
After a while, I sit on a chair at one of the tables and fall asleep.

I wake up in my hotel room. I see a note on my table.

Dear Shai,
Miles and I brought you home last night, we saw you on top of a building.
Love Zoë.

I smile, walk to the bathroom, and take a shower.
I put in a white short sleeves blouse, black shorts, and my black high tops.
I hear a knock at the door, I open it and Megan.
"Hey! You are coming with me." I say and hug her.
We run to the barber shop, where Julia is.
"Alright. Close you eyes and let the transformation begin." The barber says.
