Ch. 22: Family Time and Dates

Shailene POV:

I jog down the street and see Theo fall to the ground with two girls on his back.

I laugh, Theo looks at me and smiles.

"Hey Shailene." Theo says.

"Hi." I reply

I am so glad, I wore a shirt instead of a sports bra today.

"These is my niece, Arabella. A.K.A Bella." Theo says.

"Hi." She says shyly.

"Hi. I'm Shai." I say.

She smiles and hugs me. And I hug back.

Then Bella starts tackling Theo again.

Three ladies walks out the door.

"Shailene. This is my mother and my sisters, Clementine and Clover." Theo says.

"Hi, nice to meet you, Clover, Clementine, and Mrs. Taptiklis." I say.

"Oh darling, please call me Jane." Theo's mother says.

I smile.

His mother pulls me in for a hug and I hug back.

I also hug Clementine and Clover.

Three men walk out.

"Meet my brothers, Jacob and Bradley. And my dad."

"Nice to meet you Jacob and Bradley and Mr. Taptiklis."

"Nonsense, call me Philip."

I smile.

"Would you like to join is this afternoon?" Jane asks me.

"I would love to. Let me change." I say walk away.

I walk up to my room.

I change in a Tiffany Blue Chevron Blouse, white jeans, and blue flats.

I brush my short hair and walk out locking my front door behind me.

While walking back Theo stares at me.

I blush and look at the ground.

"Alright. Let our afternoon begin." Jane says.

We had a wonderful day and Bella has grown on me.

"Thank you for the wonderful day." I say.

"You're welcome anytime." Clementine says smiling.

"I like her better than Ruth." I hear Bradley whisper to Jacob.

"Bye Shai!" Bella says hugging me.

"Bye Bella." I say.

I walk away smiling.

I like them.

"Wait Shai!" Theo calls after me.

I turn around and there he stands.

"Do you want to go out tomorrow?" Theo asks me.

"I'd love to." I say.

"Pick you up at six?"

"Can't wait."

He smiles at walks away. I walk home, smiling.

I thought this day would never come!

"Zoë, he's going to be here in an hour and I still don't know what to where!" I shout.

"Hm. Hold on. I'm looking." Sh replies. "How's it going with the shoes,Terry?"

"I've got the perfect ones!"

"Shai. Close your eyes."

I close my eyes.

"Now let's work our magic, Terry."

After ten minutes, they are done.

I open my eyes and I smile.

I am in a white tank top, peach silk skirt, white studded flats with a cropped leather jacket. I have on a little lipgloss and my hair is comb nicely.

"Beautiful." They say.

Then I hear a knock at the door.

I grab my purse and walk down the stairs to open my front door.

There stands a handsome Theo in a suit.

"You look beautiful, Shai." Theo says.

"Thank you. You look good, too."

"Not to brag but I do clean up nice."

"I take back my compliment." I say laughing.

"Fine, but I am not taking back mine."

I blush and look at the ground.

He takes my hand and opens the passenger door for me.

I smile. He closes the door and walks to the driver's side.

"What's our agenda tonight?" I ask him.

"A dinner under a moonlight." He smiles.

He drives me to a restaurant.

He opens my door for me and I get put holding his hand.

We're still holding hands.

We walk to the garden area in the back under the moonlight. It's just us.

We talk, laugh, and eat.

He drives me home and walks me to my door.

"I had a great time." I say.

"Me too."

I kiss his cheek.

"Goodnight Theo."

"Goodnight Shai."

I walk inside my house smiling.
