Attempting Suicide

Ariana's POV

"Ugh!!!!!!" I screamed, pulling my hair for the hundredth time as I sat on Vanilla's bed in our house.

"Stop, pulang-pula na ang anit mo sa ginagawa mo eh." Sita ni Vanilla na kanina pa ako pinapanood.

"I spend almost 60,000 for that potion!" I exclaimed, burying my face in the mattress and screamed.

"Shunga ka pala eh. 60,000 pesos for a potion na hindi mo naman alam kung effective ba? Na-scam ka na shunga!" To prove her point, she even slapped my arm.

"Hindi naman iyon 'yung pinoproblema ko eh! Si Jaxxon! Kung bakit ba kasi sumulpot nalang siya bigla. That potion was for Alexis, not him!" I exclaimed and sat when I realized how big my problem is.

"What am I going to do? Vanilla, what am I gonna  do? He can't fall in love with me. I— oh my god! I'm so doomed. My life is over. I'll just go kill myself than have someone like him love me. Right, I'll go kill myself." Natatarantang sambit ko at saka tumayo at binuksan ang mga cabinet at drawers ni Vanilla.

"What are you looking for?" Nagtatakang tanong nito.

"Do you have a rope? Magbibigti na'ko." Seryosing sambit ko at itinuloy lang ang paghahanap hanggang sa batuhin ako ni Vanilla ng unan.

"Ang o.a mo na, Ariana."

"You don't understand. We're talking about Jaxxon Sparrow here. Tell me, have you met him in person?" Humarap ako dito.

"No but I've heard stories about him." Sagot nito.

"See? You don't know what I'm feeling right now because you haven't even met him!"

I haven't told Vanilla about that kidnapping incident and I'm tempted to tell her. Pero mas makabubuti sigurong ilihim ko nalang muna sa kanilang lahat.

"I'm sure he's not that bad. At saka wag ka nga munang mag-react diyan. Malay mo hindi pala effective 'yung potion na nainom niya."

"You're right." I said agreeing with her if that would make me feel better and sat in her bed again.

"Kumalma ka muna kasi."

Pinakalma ko muna ang sarili nang tawagin na si Vanilla sa baba dahil dumadami na ang customers sa shop. Bumalik narin ako sa sarili kong kwarto. I'll probably stay here for a few days and not go to school. Natatakot akong makita si Jaxxon. Tutulong nalang muna siguro ako sa coffee shop habang ayoko pang pumasok.

I'm so stupid. I shouldn't have bought that freaking potion! Ayan tuloy, nadagdagan ang problema ko. I'll just pray hard that that the potion is fake and even if it's not, the witch told me that it will only last for three weeks. Thanks goodness it's not permanent or I'll really have to kill myself.

Nakabukas ang pinto ng kwarto ko kaya naman nakita ko sj mama nang dumaan siya patungong kusina. May dala-dala itong mga plastic ng grocery bags. Napagpasyahan kong bumangon na at tulungan ito.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito, nak? Wala ka bang pasok?" Nagtatakang tanong ni mama nang makita niya ako.

"I took a day off." Sagot ko at tinulungan siya sa pag-aayos ng mga pinamili nito.

"A day off? School is not a work, Ariana. Go back to school." Mariin nitong utos.

Dahil desidido talaga akong hindi pumasok ngayon ay niyakap ko si mama sa bewang at nag puppy eyes. "Can I stay here for a few days, mommy? Please, mommy? I missed you and your food. I can help with the cafe. I can be a crew for a few days, for free." Sipsip ko.
