Ariana's POV

I silently cursed myself as I drove to places I thought Jaxxon would go. Nagbakasakali akong nasa racing arena siya pero hindi ko siya nakita doon, pagkatapos 'non ay hindi ko na alam kung saan ko siya hahanapin. That moment I realized that I'm such a worthless girlfriend. I didn't even know his favorite places, didn't know where he wanted to hang out the best. Ngayon para akong tanga na nag-iisip kung saan ko siya hahanapin.

I hate myself for ruining his day. The fact that he even asked Denver to set up a dare for both of us is breaking my heart. Thirteen years! For thirteen years, he decided to finally celebrate his birthday but I ruined it all for him. Damn!

"Jaxxon, nasan ka na ba?" Tanong ko sa sarili habang muli kong tinatawagan ang telepono niya. Pero hindi parin ito sumasagot.

I ended the call and a few seconds later, my phone rang.

"Jaxxon?" I asked without looking at the screen.

"No, this is Denver. I called to ask if you found him already but I'm guessing you havent."

"What should I do?" I asked and I almost felt like crying from guilt.

"Pinuntahan ko na iyong lugar kung saan dapat kayo magd-date pero pagdating ko, nagkalat ang mga gamit at pagkain sa sahig. I think he's really upset, Ariana. You should make it up to him."

I sighed, wiping the tear that has decided to fall. It was the first time where Jaxxon attempted to be romantic but f*ck myself because I'm so stupid. At napakawalang kwenta kong girlfriend dahil hindi ko man lang alam kung kailan ang kaarawan niya. I feel so bad but this doesn't amount to what Jaxxon is feeling right now. Imagine preparing for this day, getting excited but then I just turned him down.

"We'll find him,don't worry too much." Denver tried to make it better over the phone and I only thanked him silently before ending the call.

I wanted to ask Denver why Jaxxon hasn't celebrated his birthday for thirteen years but then I realized it wasn't his story to tell and I doubt he would tell me if I ask. I can wait until Jaxxon is ready to tell me everything about him.

I decided to go back hoping that he's back home. Habang nagmamaneho ay may nadaanan akong bakery. I should at least buy him a cake. I'll apologize to him and hopefully he'll forgive me though I know it isn't that simple.

Pagparada ko ng sasakyan sa tapat ng bahay ay napatalon ako sa tuwa at lungkot, magkahalong emosyon nang makita ang sasakyan ni Jaxxon sa garahe ng bahay nito. Picking up the cake, I decided to look for him. In this special day, I ought to make him feel special and loved.

Kumatok ako pero walang sumasagot. His motorbike and car is in the garge so I'm sure he's inside. Dahil wala talagang sumasagot ay napagpasyahan kong buksan nalang ang pinto. Thankfully it wasn't lock.

It was really dark inside and I couldn't hear anything nor feel any presence of Jaxxon. I flicked on the light and my eyes watered when I saw Jaxxon sitting on the floor against the sofa, his head bowed down and there was a bottle of alcohol beside him and another one in his hand. His hands were in a tight fist as he remained motionless. He looked miserable, broken and lonely. I made him lonely.

"Jaxxon." I called his name but he didn't make any move to acknowledge me. He remained sitting, his face hidden from my view.

Lumapit ako dito at nilapag ang hawak na cake sa center table bago lumuhod sa tabi nito. My arms circled around him as I pulled him to my chest.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I whispered, trying my best not to cry because I have no right to. Kinuha ko ang hawak nitong alak at inilapag sa sahig.
