We clicked instantly. We shared memories that could never be replaced together. We were playing like there was no tomorrow.
He was the light that took my darkness away.
He came into my life unexpectedly. And somehow that was a blessing for me. He became my friend. Nasa sandbox kami noon when all my other friends back then came and made fun of me. Umalis si Dane para bilhan ako ng ice cream. I was left at the sand box.
I didn't mind it until there were kids who kicked sand at my face. I coughed for dear life. They continued what they were doing and said horrid things about me.
"Freak."
"Disgrace."
"Buti nga at sinuntok ka ng Papa mo."
"Good thing na we're not friends anymore."
"Weirdo."
"You're a Monster."
I never cried so hard in my life. Hindi na ako makahinga. At inatake ako ng asthma. I couldn't breathe. Hinihika na ako. Clutching for air, hoping it would fill my lungs again. And then I passed out.
"Halo!!!" I heard a voice screamed before going in to a deep slumber of darkness.
