Cat's POV:
We made our way out of the clinic in complete silence trying not to make any sound so as not to get caught.
My heart was beating so fast, sweat trickled down my forehead and back from worry that something wrong might happen and then we won't be able to get out of here, or that one of us might---
No, I won't think about any of this. I just need to think about positive thoughts and that we're gonna get out of here and that me and Xavier are gonna go on a date with each other.
The date.. I actually didn't have any time to think about it. I wonder what it would be like?
Do I really wanna go on a date with him? Of course I want too.
Do I like him? I think so, I never really liked anybody before so I don't know.
But they say when your heart beats so fast and you breath gets caught in your throat when you see someone that means you love them.
They say when you want to see a certain someone everyday even without a reason that means you love them.
Do I feel all of this..? Yes , I do.
Do I love him? I think yes.
NO I know that I love him. But the thing here, does he love me or even like me a little bit? I won't know, he might be playing me..
My thoughts were cut short when I heard gun shots, I instantly screamed and I felt Xavier pushing me behind him.
"Stay behind me and take care" he said while shooting someone straight in the head.
My mouth dropped to the floor at what I just saw. He shot someone straight in the head without even blinking once!!
"OH MY GOD!! You just shot someone right in the middle of his head" I said looking at his back with disbelief.
"Well kitten if you wanna join my gang you better get used to these kind of things, cause one day you're gonna shoot someone in the head without having a second thought about it or did you change your mind about joining my gang?" He said looking at me for a second then going back to shooting someone.
"You either kill or be killed" he added.
I instantly shut my mouth knowing that he was right, I would have to get used to these kind of things if I want to survive being in a gang.
"They're here" said Scott.
'Who is here?' I thought
Out of a sudden a sound of a door went flying in the air, hit someone and then landed on the floor.
More bullets started flying everywhere and more people fell to the floor and the place started to look like a pool of blood.
I remember Xavier telling me that his gang will be here, so I assume that the people who just barged in were his gang.
The image of blood and the smell of it made bile rise up to my throat and I felt like puking. I turned around and emptied my stomach right where I was.
"Shit! Are you okay Cat?" I heard Xavier asking while holding my hair back for me.
"Yeah..yeah, I'm fine. It's just the smell of blood and the image of it made me want to throw up" I said.
"Come on let's go, they said it's all clear" said Scott motioning for us to follow him.
We went straight to the front door and there were a lot of cars waiting outside.
Xavier got into the first car in the beginning of the row and I followed him like a lost puppy.
We got into the car and at the same moment alot of people started coming out of the huge house and filling into the other cars.
Xavier started the engine and all cars followed. I looked behind me and saw from the back window all of the car following behind us.
I then looked at Xavier and leaned towads him and kissed his lips and pulled away before he even processed what was happening.
He looked at me with his mouth open not believing what just happened.
"Thank you for helping me get out of there, if it weren't for you, I would have still been there" I said and he just kept looking at me.
"I think you need to look at the road, I don't want us to make an accident the moment we got out" I said while laughing when he looked back at the road.
I then opened the window beside me looking through it, the air making my hair flow.
I can't believe we're out, it feels like I've been in prison for all my life and finally I gained freedom.
"Oh Xavier, the offer of you taking me on a date, is it still available?" I asked.
"Of course it is kitten" He replied.
"Good because if it wasn't, I would have taken you out against your will" I said with a smirk on my face.
