Chapter 8

Cat's POV:

I woke up from a deep sleep founding myself sleeping on Xavier's lap. The pain thankfully wasn't as bad as before.

I looked up on his face and see him sleeping peacefully.

He looks so cute sleeping like that. His lips parted slightly. Breathing steady breathes. His chest rising and falling slowly.

I never really realised how good he looked until now. He was so handsome.

He had a perfect sharp jawline that you feel like it could cut diamonds.

He had a beard probably because he had been here for a long time but it looked good on him.

He had hard abs and chest. His body was perfect, like he was sculpted by god himself.

He looked like he's about 6'5 while I was 5'3. Pretty short I know.

I looked back at his eyes and found him looking at me. Oh my god he caught me staring at him.

That is so embarrassing. I got up and looked away blushing.

I was thankful that there was little light in this room because I'm sure that I look red like a tomato.

He cleared his throat making me look at him. He looked like he wanted to ask me something but was hesitant.

"So..You look like you want to ask me something. Say it I'll answer you whatever you ask" I said smiling shyly at him.

"Umm..I just wanna know why you're here. You aren't in any problem with them right. I mean you don't look like a bad girl or anything. And that is not a place for someone who is so innocent as you are" He said blurting out all what was in his mind.

The thing here is that I personally don't know why I'm here and why they did any of this to me.

I mean I wasn't the type if girl who gets in trouble or date guys and all that crap. So why am I here aand why did they do this I don't know.

Now that I thought about it I never got the chance to ask why I'm here or how I even got here.

But I'm planning on asking that Brad guy when he comes again. He's probably the leader here because all the men listened to him and obeyed his orders.

"Umm..I'm sorry. I wasn't supposed to ask. You don't know me so of course you can not answer me. Just forget I ever asked. Again I'm sorry for asking" He said in a sad tone.

Probably because I ignored his question. But I was so caught up in my thoughts that I forgot he was even here in the same room as me.

"Oh no. It's not like that. I was just so caught up in my thoughts that I forgot you were here. And actually I feel like you're not a stranger to me. I feel like I could tell you anything and you won't judge. And to prove that when you knew what they did to me you just hugged me and comforted me. I feel like if it was another person they would have felt disgusted by me. So thanks for being here comforting me although you don't even know me" I said giving him a thankful smile.

But before he could say anything I beat him to it.

"And to answer your question. I don't know. I don't know why I'm here or how I even got here. And yes I'm not the type of girl to get in trouble so it doesn't make sense me being here. I don't even know who these people are" I said frustrated because if all the unanswered questions in my mind.

"Do you want to know who these people are and what they do?" Xavier asked looking deep in my eyes.

I nodded at him even though I feel like I'll regret ever agreeing to know who these people are.

"Okay. So let's start first from who they are" He said looking at me as if asking me if I really want to know.

I nodded at him giving him my full attention.

"So these people are gangsters. And their leader is the ugly guy you saw whose name in Brad Bartle. His gang is called the Blood gang. They used to be the strongest and most feared gang in the US. But then came a new gang that took over and took their place. This certain gang is called the Black Shadow gang. Their leader is more stronger and powerful than Brad that's why he easily took over Blood gang" I cut him off wanting to ask him something.

"Who is the leader of the black shadow gang. From they way you're talking about him he sounds like he's ruthless and so powerful and when you see him vibes of badness and power comes out of him that you feel like you better die than look him in the eye" I said raising my eyebrow waiting for his answer.

"It's me. I'm the leader of the black shadow gang. Xavier Black"
