Chapter 41

Xavier's POV:

"Yes Xavier, it is me Amelia, your sister" she said.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing right now. Was I in some sort of dream or something.

"Look Xavier, I'm really here, I'm still alive. But you need to get Cat out of here. She got shot in the stomach and she's bleeding, the babies lives are in danger." she said.

I snapped my head back to Cat and just like she said. She wasn't bleeding only from the stomach, but there was blood on her thighs as well.

I started to panic, not knowing what I should do "Xavier, you need to calm down. We need to get her to the hospital like right now." Amelia said.

I nodded my head and immediately picked her up, turning around I came face to face with someone I wanted to kill so bad.

"What the hell are you doing here" I said.

"Xavier calm down. Don't mind him, let's just get out of here. I'll explain to you why he's here, but he needs to come with us, we can't leave him here" Amelia said.

I just nodded and went out of the cell, running up the stairs as fast as I can with Amelia and the fucker behind me.

When I got out of the dungeon, I just found my men standing and waiting for me.

"Scott! Come here" I shouted. He immediately appeared from between all the men.

I put Cat on the floor and he started checking her "we need to take her to a hospital, she and the babies won't make it if we went back to th mansion. I stopped the bleeding but she needs to go to the hospital right now" he said.

I immediately picked her up and started running to the car.

"Oh my god! Xavier! What happened to her" Brianna got out of the car and came rushing my way.

"She was shot, we need to take her to the  hospital right now. And she's bleeding, the babies are in danger" I said as I put her in the car.

I was about to go get in the car when I remembered my sister.

I turned to her and she was standing in Max's arms. I felt myself get angry and went their way, pushing her away from him. And I was about to punch him but she held me.

"Xavier, no! He's my boyfriend. He helped me. Let him live. He's the reason why I'm alive right now" she said.

"Holy shit! Omg! Amelia! You're alive!" I heard Brianna shouting.

"Brianna and Amelia get in the car with me, we're gonna go to the hospital. Danny, Ben and Mason did you find him" I asked them referring to Brad.

"Yes, boss. He's unconscious, we put him in the trunk of our car" Danny said.

"Good, take this one with you" I said pointing towards Max.

"Everybody pile up in the cars and head back to New York. Danny you're in charge. I'll come once the boss lady is okay" I said as I got in the car with Amelia and Brianna.

Once we arrived at the hospital, they took Cat in an operation room and they also took Amelia because she was injured also. I was left with Brianna.

"I can't believe Amelia is still alive" she said.

"Me too. It's like a dream" I said.

"Your mother will be so happy to hear the news of Amelia being alive" she said.

I only managed to nod because I felt like I was about to break down.

Brainna noticed so she immediately hugged me, once she hugged me I started crying so hard.

"I found her, but I feel like I was too late. I'm afraid something bad might happen to her or to the babies. I failed her, I couldn't protect her or the babies. If I couldn't protect my babies now, then how am I supposed to protect them when they're born, that if they even make it out alive. It's all my fault" I said.

"No, Xavier. Don't say that. It's not your fault, it's only Brad's fault and I'm positive that they all will get out of this alive. We will all live a happily ever after with each other." she said as she rubbed by back in a comforting way.

A few minutes later, a nurse came and guided us to Amelia room.

We went inside and she was laying on the bed with bandages everywhere.

I immediately went to hug her, careful to not hurt her. She hugged back and we both started crying. Brianna joined us in the hug and started crying also.

When we pulled away from the hug, I sat on the edge of the bed and held her hand in mine "How?" I asked.

I didn't need to say anything for her to understand what I meant. She started explaining to me everything she went through and how she ended up meeting Cat. She also explained how Cat got shot.

When she was finished, I didn't know if I should feel grateful for Max because he helped my sister or feel hate because of what he put Cat through and because he was the reason she was shot.

But right now Max was my last concern. I had Cat and my sister to think about them right now.

I called my mom and explained to her everything thay happened and she talked with Amelia. She was so happy that she made me order one of my men to bring her here.

Alex also insisted to come here as well. Now we were all sitting in my sisters room waiting for someone to inform us about Cat's condition.

I was about to go ask about her when a doctor came in the room. I immediately got up and went to him.

"Doctor, how is she and the babies?"  I asked.

"Everything is okay. We managed to save the three of them. The bullet didn't go too deep thankfully, so it didn't harm the babies. The bleeding that happened to her was caused because her body couldn't handle anything anymore. It looks like she went through bad things that stressed her to a very high extent. We had to take the babies out before their due time to save them. They are currently in  the nursery, they will have to stay the remaining two months in there. You could see your wife if you want but she's unconscious and she looks bad so prepare yourself" he said.

I thanked him and asked him were her room is and I went to see her.

I went inside the room, she was sleeping on the bed with tubes connected to her everywhere. She did look so bad.

I started crying while holding her hand and I kept muttering sorry over and over again.

"Xavier"

I looked up and she was awake. She had her eyes open and she was looking at me.

I got up from beside her and hugged her "what happened" she asked.

I started explaining to her how I found her and I told her what the doctor said.

I then started apologising she cut me off when she pulled me to her and kissed me.

It felt so good to be able to kiss her again, to feel her and have her in my arms.

"It's not your fault, nothing is and you shouldn't apologise. I'm okay and the babies are okay. We're together now." she said.

I nodded and kissed her again then we pulled away "I want to see our babies" she said.

I got a wheel chair and picked her up careful to not hurt her then we went out and headed to the direction of the nursery. The nurse let us in after putting on masks. And then she showed us our babies.

I held the boy and Cat held the girl "Victoria Black" she said. That's her mothers name.

I looked at the boy and immediately knew what I'll name him "Peter Black, my fathers name" I said.

We both looked at each other and smiled. I kissed her. That's when I felt complete, nothing is gonna be able to harm them again.

I'm gonna propose to Cat once we get back to NY and we'll all live a happily ever after with each other.
