Chapter 27

Cat's POV:

The news about me being pregnant have spread around the gang so fast. Now every member of the gang knows about it.

All the members congratulated me and Xavier. Although we're in a gang and people should be tough, they were all over the moon when they heard the news. They all promised that they will protect the still unborn baby with all what they have.

From the moment I came here, I've considered them all my family and they have proved that they consider me as a family also throughout the time I've spent with them.

I guess this proves the quote that says 'Family isn't always blood, and blood isn't always family'.

Xavier have been treating me like a queen since the day he knew about my pregnancy, but it's not like he wasn't treating me like a queen before, it's just that he now treats me with more care than before.

He made me stop my training and he always wants me to rest. And Bri isn't helping at all, she doesn't let me get out of bed even when I want to use the toilet she needs to be standing outside the door incase something happens.

It's not that I don't love them taking care of me and all but they are over exaggerating.

I'm only 4 months pregnant and just started to show and they are already very overprotective. I'm totally not ready to see how they will act when I'm 8 or 9 months pregnant.

Me and Xavier sat together and decided that we're gonna get married when the baby is born, so as not to stress ourselves that much and because I want to wear a beautiful dress that fits me well.

Since Xavier was so caught up in gang work the past few weeks so he couldn't come with me to every doctor appointment, so I've been taking Bri with me.

So that means that Xavier missed the appointment that we got to know the gender of the baby and he also missed another surprise.

So right now, I'm with Bri at the mall getting the few stuff left to surprise Xavier today and tell him about the good news I have.

Me and Bri have been preparing for this night for a month now and it's finally the day! We successfully managed to hide what we did from Xavier.

"Girl! He will over the moon when he knows the surprise that is coming his way!!" Bri said jumping around in happiness. I laughed at her childlessness agreeing with her.

When we got all what we needed we headed back home so we can start organising the surprise.

We made dinner for me and Xavier, well basically it was Bri making dinner for us because she didn't want me to tire myself out.

We also decorated the house with some things that will lead Xavier to the surprise. And I put some clues in some places that will help him.

It was then time for me to get ready so I can surprise him.

Bri as always helped me get ready for Xavier. She picked out my outfit and did my hair and makeup.
