Chapter 28

Cat's POV:

I'm currently 6 months pregnant and my stomach is already so swallown because of the two little babies.  My cravings started a while ago, I haven't stopped eating since. Even late at night because of my cravings, Xavier has to always go out and get me the food I crave for.

Today me and Xavier decided to go to the park and have a picnic. I'm currently making some sandwiches and fresh juice for us. Xavier is currently in his office so he can finish some work before we went out.

I finished preparing the food basket and got a blanket so we can sit on it. I then went to change my clothes to something more comfortable but pretty at the same time. I decided on wearing a floral prints sundress, since it was sunny and hot outside.

Xavier was still in his office so I decided to go put the food basket and blanket in the car before he came. I went out to the front porch since it was parked in front of the house from last night because Xavier had to go out to get me a Nutella jar because of my cravings and he was so tired to park the car in the garage.

I put the basket in the trunk, I was about to head inside the house but the mail box caught my attention. We had new mail.

I got the letters and went inside. I decided to go upstairs to Xavier's office so I can give him the letters and tell him to hurry up so we can go.

I went through the letters, they were mostly for the bills. One letter caught my eye, it had the name of Xavier on it. I decided to open it and see what it was. I know I shouldn't be looking through it because it's for Xavier but I got this odd feeling when I saw it and curiosity got the best of me.

I ripped open the letter while going up the stairs and started to read.

Xavy, Xavy, Xavy..

What a naughty boy you are..

You fooled around and got her pregnant. And not just with one kid, but two.

Who thought you would ever want to have kids. I mean someone and cold and heartless as you shouldn't want to know the feeling of being a dad. But I guess you've gone soft since you met the little kitten. Well, I can't blame you, she really is something else.

But unfortunately, you made the wrong move by getting her pregnant. I warned you! I told you she would be mine! But you had to get her pregnant.

But you know what? I thought about it for a while and came out with the conclusion that it's best for me that way. You wanna know why? I think I'm gonna keep it a secret for now.

You better watch your kitten's back. Don't want anything bad happening to them, do we?

When I started reading the letter I stopped ascending the stairs, I felt all blood drain from my face, my heart beats quickened at a very fast pace, I felt like I was about to pass out from how much I felt scared at the moment.

He knows about me being pregnant. He knows.. and he is threatening to harm me and the babies. He wants to harm my babies.

The letters fell from my hands and I started feeling dizzy. I heard someone calling out my name but it felt like the sound was so far away. I felt myself lose balance and I feel backward but before I could fell myself rolling on the stairs I was already out.

I woke up feeling my back ache. I opened my eyes finding myself in Xavier's arms. He had his eyes closed. I whispered his name, he immediately opened his eyes and hugged me tight.

"You're awake!" He said hugging me so tight.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You lost conscious when you were on the stairs, you almost rolled down the whole stairs if Alex wasn't there in time to catch you" he said.

Immediately memories of what happened came back to me. My eyes widened instantly remembering the letter I read.

"Xavier! The letter! Did you see it? He was threatening hurting me and our babies" I said with tears running down my face.

"I know baby.. I know. I read the letter. But I promised myself and promised you that I'll keep you safe no matter what! I won't let him lay a hand on you or our babies. Don't worry baby, I won't let any harm come your way" he said wipping the tears from my face and holding me close to him.

"You should rest for a few days in bed, and not get up unless it was to go to the toilet. You hit your back pretty hard when you fell on the stairs. The doctor came and checked on you while you were out, he said you have to rest so as not to harm the babies. I don't know what would have happened if Alex didn't come in time to catch you from falling down the rest of the stairs. I thank god that nothing bad happened" he said giving me a kiss on the forehead while rubbing circles on my stomach.

"Thank Alex for me when you see him please" I said getting more comfortable in his embrace.

"Okay baby I will, but I have to go now although I don't want too. I call Bri to keep you company and help you if you need anything" he said pulling away from me.

"Noooo, do you really have to go? I want you to stay. We haven't had any time alone in a while, and our picnic got ruined because of what happened. Stay pleassseee" I said whining.

"I know baby, I really want to stay but I need to talk with Alex about what we're gonna do with that dick so I can keep you and our babies safe. I promise I'll take you out once you get well" he said kissing me on the forehead again.

"Okay, but don't stay up late. I want to sleep knowing you're right there beside me" I said. "Oh, and can you bring me the food basket from the cars trunk. I've made us some sandwiches and fresh juice that I've been craving for since the morning" I said pouting at him while rubbing my stomach because I was so hungry since I haven't eaten anything since the morning.

"Okay kitten" he said chuckling at my pout then he left.

I sighed feeling so vulnerable and helpless right now. I was being threatened and my babies were being threatened and I couldn't even do anything about it. I decided to just relax and not think about it so I won't stress myself out.

Moments later and Bri came rushing through the door with the food basket in her hand "OH MY GOD CAT!! ARE YOU OKAY?!!! I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU WHEN I HEARD WHAT HAPPENED. GOSH! YOU SCARED ME TO DEATH" she said all in one breath while hugging me in a bone crushing hug.

I laughed at her over protectiveness hugging her back "I'm okay Bri. Don't worry" I said pulling away from her.

"I got you your food. Btw we're gonna share it together while watching some movies" she said smiling from ear to ear while opening the food basket eagerly to see what was inside.

I chuckled at her eagerness but did the same as her.

We spent all day in bed, eating and watching movies. When it was time to sleep she went to her room.

I got up from the bed to change into my night gown.  I winced at the pain in my back but ignored it as much as I can.

I changed my clothes then sat on the bed waiting for Xavier to come. Moments later the door opened revealing my love.

He looked tired from work. He smiled at me then took of his clothes leaving just his boxers on. He climbed in bed with me. He pulled me to him, I rested my head on his chest immediately feeling  myself drift off to sleep.

"I love you kitten" he said kissing my forehead while rubbing my back.

"I love you too babe" I said smiling while drifting off to the best sleep I've had in days.
