CHAPTER FOUR
"Can you try and be a civil human?"

Marley carried a box filled with food and she walked through the door Pops was holding open for her. He had decided to come to the hospital with them, of course, he came in his own car.

"Who's hungry? We've got burgers, fries and onion rings..." Jughead listed and excited cries were heard around the room as Riverdale students walked up to them to get the food.

"Yes, Jughead!" A student exclaimed while grabbing a bag from Jughead and Marley smiled. Reggie came up to her.

"You're an angel, Marley Rose," Reggie said with a smirk and Marley smiled.

"Thank Pop. He cooked it," Marley said while blowing a chewing gum bubble and Reggie shrugged.

"Yeah, But you carried it, babe," Reggie flirted and Marley playfully rolled her eyes and Jughead glared at him.

"Wait, is that a hickey?" Reggie asked while looking at Marley's neck. A flash of jealousy came across his face before he suppressed it and smirked.

"I'm sure, I could give you a better one," Reggie flirted and Marley groaned while Jughead just glared at him. Reggie noticed this from the corner of his eyes but kept his gaze focused on Marley.

"Can you try and be a civil human, Just this once? Please? For me?" Marley asked and Reggie laughed before shrugged.

"What's the fun in that?" Reggie joked annoying Marley on purpose and Marley just rolled her eyes.

"Take the food and go, Mantle," Marley said and Reggie laughed before grabbing four burgers, he quickly sent Jughead a wink before walking towards his friends.

Archie and Veronica and Betty approached them once they had finished handing out the food.

"Guys, we um... need talk,"Archie said and Marley and Jughead nodded. Archie began to lead the way to the hospital cafeteria and the group followed.

As Marley was about to walk into the cafeteria she spotted her aunt talking to a man she's never seen before, she tried to get closer to hear the conversation. She took a step closer while hiding behind a wall to hear as much as she could.

"Marls, lets go," Archie said sticking his head around the entrance of the cafeteria and Marley sighed before turning around and walking into the cafeteria.

Marley sat down next to Betty while avoiding eye contact with Jughead. Betty noticed and raised an eyebrow at her before ignoring it.

"You're Dad will be so proud of you Arch," Betty said and Marley nodded in agreement.

"Absolutely, you're so strong. If it was me I would've been loosing my mind," Marley said to her friend and Jughead nodded.

"Yeah, you've really been a rockstar god through all this," Jughead said with a smile and Archie didn't react. Veronica looked at her boyfriend worry on her face.

"Archie, What is it? Talk to us. Maybe we can help," Veronica said and Archie took a deep breath.

"Guys, there's something I haven't told you, because I'm so...I'm so ashamed," Archie said his voice shaking and Marley frowned and Veronica gently touched his arm.

"After the guy fired, I should've rushed to my dad straightaway. Or I should have tackled the guy but I was-I was paralysed. I didn't move, not even when the guy walked up to me and he held his gun to my head, and I just closed my eyes. I don't know how long, but long enough for the guy to have taken my dad's wallet, I guess..." Archie said trailing off and Marley's eyes began to water. She noticed Betty was crying and quickly look Betty's hand in hers.
