CHAPTER THRITY-FIVE
"He's probably a Jarley shipper,"

Marley looked at her outfit in the mirror before pulling her curls into a neat puff on the top of her head. It was the first day back to school after the Christmas break and she was happy that she would finally have something to do again. She spent the Christmas contemplating on weather she should call Jughead or not, while avoiding her dysfunctional family and hanging out with Nick and Elijah.

"Marley, you're going to be late!" A voice shouted from downstairs and Marley rolled her eyes before grabbing her backpack and walking down stairs and into the kitchen where Rhea and Gina were sitting. No sign of Flo, she hasn't left her room since she lost her baby.

"I wish I was coming with you, this town is ridiculously boring. All I do is go to work and come home," Rhea complained and Gina rolled her eyes before sipping on her coffee.

"Feel free to go back to England," Gina joked and Rhea rolled her eyes before biting into a piece of her toast.

"You fucking wish," Rhea said with her mouth full and Gina rolled her eyes and Marley laughed before grabbing her skateboard that was near the kitchen door.

"I'm not hungry. I'll see you guys when I get back," Marley said before leaving the house and starting to make her way to school.

When Marley got to school she went to her locker and shoved her skateboard in before making her way to the student lounge where Betty and Kevin were sitting. Marley smiled at them before sitting down next to Kevin.

"Hey, Y'all," Marley said and Kevin rolled his eyes at her while Betty chuckled.

"Since when do you say 'y'all'?" Kevin asked and Marley playfully rolled her eyes before shrugging.

"I don't even know," Marley said causing Betty to laugh and Kevin to roll his eyes. Before either of them could respond Veronica and Archie walked into the student lounge their lips on eachothers and Marley groaned.

"Okay, We get it. We're single," Marley said causing them to laugh and Kevin just playfully nudged her.

"Now you know how Betty and I felt when you and Jughead made out in front of us," Kevin said and Marley rolled her eyes. Before either of them could speak Mr Weatherbee's voice started to come out of the intercoms.

"Students of Riverdale High, this is your principle," His voice said and Marley popped her gum before rolling her eyes.

"No, shit." Marley said causing Veronica to laugh and playfully nudge her as she sat down on the chair next to Marley.

"Emails have been sent to your parents, but effective immediately. Southside High School  is shut down. It's students will be transferred to other schools in the district. Including this one." Principle Weatherbee said and Kevin and Betty both turned to look at Marley while other students in the student lounge spoke among themselves.

"Okay, guys. Let's not overreact." Veronica said trying to calm everyone down but it didn't work. Marley zoned out the rest of Principle Weatherbee's voice and looked at Betty who just shrugged.

"Wait, what does that mean?" Archie asked once the announcement is over and Betty sighed before tearing her eyes away from Marley and looking at Archie.

"It means Jughead's coming back," Betty said while glancing at Marley and Marley just sighed.

"Marls, are you ready for that?" Kevin asked and Marley looked at him and fake smiled.
