CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
"Oh, bloody hell.'

Marley was sitting in the booth besides Veronica as they talked about Kevin's Dad but Marley was too busy daydreaming.

"Marls," Betty said getting her attention and Marley looked at her before raising an eyebrow urging her to continue.

"It makes sense, right? Sheriff Keller killed him," Betty said while sliding the newspaper over to her and Marley looked at the article before looking back at her.

"Betts, he fell in front of a train. I think you are overthinking it," Marley said and Veronica nodded in agreement and Betty groaned.

"Says the girl who won't kiss her boyfriend," Betty retorted and Marley rolled her eyes.

"Because a fuckig serial killer said that he will turn Riverdale red, if we didn't stay sinless. Kissing leads to things, Betts," Marley said and Veronica nodded and Betty sighed.

"Whatever. I think he is the Black Hood and we, as a team, are going to prove it. Tonight," Betty said and Marley looked at Veronica who just sighed.

"Betty, lets not confuse wanting a solution to this mystery to actually having one," Veronica said and Marley nodded in agreement.

"Maybe Sheriff Keller, is just that. The Sheriff, not a psychopath. Besides, this is Kevin's Dad we are talking about," Marley said and Veronica nodded in agreement. Betty frowned before nodding, but Marley knew she was just nodding to shut them up.

Marley was back at home working on a painting when her phone started to ring. She looked at the caller ID before answering.

"Hey dude," Marley said once she answered the phone before sipping her paint brush into some grey paint.

"Hey, Marls. I just wanted to ask you if you knew what Jughead is doing tonight. I personally think he is making a big mistake and you should talk to him," Nick said and Marley frowned before putting her brush on her canvas and making some strokes.

"What on earth are you on about?" Marley asked and Nick sighed before replying.

"So you don't know. Um... Penny Peabody, I don't know if you know who she is but she's a Serpent-" Nick said and Marley interrupted him.

"Serpent lawyer. I know," Marley said and Nick hummed before continuing.

"Well, then you should know she does jobs based on favours. Jughead is doing her a favour tonight and I personally think he is making a mistake," Nick said and Marley put her paintbrush down.

"Just tell me what he is doing, Akiyama," Marley said and Nick sighed before continuing.

"He is delivering a package. A crate to be exact, to Greendale. I don't know what it's the crate but I know once he is in, he is in." Nick said and Marley frowned.

"How do you know this?" Marley asked him while standing up from her seat and walking over to her bed and sitting next to her dog.

"I was at the tattoo parlour, with my brother. He was getting a new tattoo and he was my ride so I had to wait. I heard Penny say that she found someone to make a delivery and that someone was 'FP's Kid'." Nick said and there was a long silence.

"Also, don't tell anyone this because I'll get my ass kicked for telling a non-Serpent, Serpent business," Nick added and Marley hummed.

"Thanks for letting me know, Akiyama," Marley said and Nick just hummed.
