CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN
"A grown boy like you calling your father daddy? Tragic,"

"Have you been avoiding me, Sunshine?" Elijah asked as he fell instep with Marley as she walked down the school corridor.

"I'd like to think that you're unavoidable," Marley said as she popped her gum and Elijah chuckled.

"It's just that we had free period and we usually spend it in the library or art room," Elijah said and Marley shrugged before looking at him.

"I spent it in the Blue and Gold," Marley said and Elijah raised an eyebrow at her.

"Why?" Elijah asked and Marley groaned before shrugging.

"I wanted some alone time. Fucking shoot me," Marley snapped and Elijah chuckled before nodding.

"Alright, you know where to find me when you're done being annoyed for whatever reason," Elijah said before walking away and Marley sighed before popping her gum and walking into the student lounge.

When she walked in she saw the Serpents dressed in Riverdale High uniform but before she could say anything a voice spoke behind her.

"What the hell, guys?" Jughead asked and Marley and the Serpents turned to look at him. Jughead glanced at Marley and she avoided eye contact with him before walking to the vending machine. The two haven't talked since their argument.

"Weatherbee gave them to us. He said that he understood that not ever southside student has the means to purchase Riverdale High acceptable clothes. He thinks this will help us fit in," Toni said and Marley scoffed from the vending machine.

"It's official. Weatherbee is a arsehole," Marley said and she put in some money into the vending machine and Sweatpea hummed in agreement.

"Where's Fogarty?" Jughead asked and Marley pressed the buttons on the vending machine so she could get some skittles.

"He wouldn't wear the uniform so they suspended him," Sweetpea said and Jughead scoffed.

"So, our choices are to conform or be cast out?" Jughead asked and Toni nodded. Marley picked up her skittles before turning to look at Jughead.

"Wouldn't have happened if you had taken off the jacket, Jughead," Marley said before walking out of the student lounge. Jughead contemplated following her but decided against it.

Marley walked into her kitchen after school where Rhea was sitting on the table playing with a knife, dressed in her Pops uniform. Marley glanced at her before pulling out some Oreos from the cupboard and putting some in her mouth before turning to look at her.

"What's with the knife?" Marley asked with her mouth full as she watched Rhea swirl a knife around her fingers.

"I've always been into knife play. If Lena saw you speak with your mouth full she would faint," Rhea said and Marley just rolled her eyes.

"Speaking is Lena, I spoke to her. I asked her about Gina's baby and she told me where he is," Rhea continued and Marley's eyes widened.

"So where is he?" Marley asked and Rhea just smirked before standing up and lifting her skirt up, she put the butterfly knife in the waist hand of her tights before pulling her skirt back down.

"My shift at Pops starts in a few minutes. I'll see you later," Rhea said before walking out of the kitchen and out of the house.

Marley rolled her eyes before her phone started to ring. She pulled the phone out of her pocket and raised a eyebrow at the unknown number.
