CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
"Are you fucking kidding me?"

Marley and Betty were in the Riverdale Auto Shop working on Reggie's car before the race.

"God bless Reggie Mantle and his inferiority complex. Like him, his car is beautiful to look at but there's not much going on under the hood," Betty said while working on Reggie's car and Marley laughed.

"Can you pass me the crescent wrench, please," Betty said and Marley looked at the tools in confusion.

"The fuck is a crescent wrench?" Marley asked and Betty laughed before pointing at the tool and Marley nodded before handing it over to her.

"So, after finding out that Toni is more into girls are you going to get back with Jughead?" Betty asked while fixing the car and Marley sighed before shrugging.

"I don't know. I don't want to have to babysit him, I don't want to be one of those girls you know," Marley said and Betty nodded in understanding while working on the car.

"Babysit me because I joined the Serpents?" A voice asked and Marley sighed before turning around to face Jughead.

"No, Jughead. Besides it's rude to eavesdrop," Marley said while looking at her fingernails.

"You of all people lecturing me on my manners?" Jughead said and Marley gasped before she could reply Betty spoke.

"Can you pass me the ball bearing please?" Betty said and Marley looked at her.

"Betty, I don't know what on earth that is," Marley said to her and Betty chuckled before pointing at the round item and Marley handed it to her before looking back at Jughead.

"What did you mean by babysit?" Jughead asked again and Marley sighed.

"I meant that I didn't want to have to be one of those girls that have to check up on their boyfriends every so often to make sure they aren't cheating on them," Marley said while crossing her arms over her chest and Jughead shot her a look.

"I never cheated on you," Jughead said and Marley crossed her arms over her chest and before she could reply Betty spoke.

"Uh, Can you pass me the torque wrench?" Betty asked and Marley sighed before handing her a random tool.

"Uh, Marls, this is spanner," Betty said and Marley groaned.

"Betty, I'm going to need you to be more specific," Marley said and Betty sighed.

"Can you pass me that long silver shiny tool please?" Betty said and Marley nodded while handing it to her and facing Jughead again.

"Kissing someone, who isn't your girlfriend is cheating," Marley continued and Jughead sighed.

"She kissed me, and she only did it because she thought that we broke up," Jughead said and Marley rolled her eyes.

"Oh, so that makes it okay then?" Marley asked and Jughead rolled his eyes.

"No, I'm not saying it makes it okay. I'm saying you can't blame her," Jughead said and Marley glared at him.
