CHAPTER SEVEN
"The bitch was still around?"

Marley walked into the blue and gold office and Betty smiled at her.

"Finally!" Kevin said to Marley and Marley just rolled her eyes before sitting down next to him and opposite Veronica.

"Marley is here, B. You can start," Veronica said while looking at Betty and Betty smiled at her before starting.

"I was thinking that we can't let the terrorist win. We need to host an event at Pop's that reminds the town of simpler times. Like a throwback to when the Shoppe first opened its doors," Betty said to them and Marley nodded before placing some gum into her mouth.

"Betty, I like a good milkshake as much as any girl. And pops puts the Serendipity 3 to shame, but why this hill to die on?" Veronica asked and Marley nodded in agreement and Betty sighed.

"Orange freezes with my mom and Polly after ballet. Chicken noodle soup with my dad after ice skating. Grilled cheeses with Archie on the last day of summer. Late night sundaes with Marley and Jughead. It's where I met you for the first time, V. It's where I met you, Kevin," Betty said and Marley smiled at the memory.

"I want to save this one place. For us," Betty said and Marley smiled at her.

"You've always been good with words, Betts." Marley said while smiling at her.

Before anyone could reply there was a knock on the door. The four of them turned to look at the door as it opened.

"Hey, Veronica," the guy said as he walked in with flowers and Veronica's eyes widened.

"Daddy?" Veronica asked and Marley, Betty and Kevin all looked at each other.

"Daddy?" They all said in unison and Veronica rolled her eyes before standing up and grabbing her bag.

"This won't take long guys," Veronica said to her friends before walking out of the door. Marley, Kevin and Betty all looked at each other before Marley's phone rang.

"Speaking Of daddies," Marley said while looking at the caller ID.

"Hey, Dad," Marley said while Kevin and Betty talked amongst themselves.

"Marls I was thinking. Why would your aunt, who has been a big city girl all her life move to Riverdale? You can't even see Riverdale on the map," Kian said and Marley sighed.

"Jesus, you aren't wasting anytime, are you?" Marley asked her dad and she heard him chuckle.

"Lie in a bed all day and it gives you some time to think, Marley Rose. It just doesn't make any sense. Why would your mother move to Riverdale? What so good about Riverdale?" Kian asked and Marley sighed.

"I don't know, Dad. Aunt Gina has been acting a little weird lately," Marley admitted and sh heard her father huff.

"Has she's been treating you right? Because I swear to god-" Kian began but Marley interrupted him.

"Aunt Gina is treating me better than you used to treat me," Marley said and she heard her father sigh.

"Mango-" Kian said and Marley interrupted him again because Jughead was calling her.
