CHAPTER FORTY-TWO
"I'll strangle him."

Marley and Jughead sat opposite each other in Marley's room in silence before Marley started to cry.

"What have we done? What have we done?" Marley said as she started to pace the room and Jughead just sighed.

"Are we accessories to murder, Jug? Are we?" Marley asked as she paced the room and Jughead just ran a hand through his hair.

"Juggie, I am so sorry. You wanted no part in this. It's my fault, when we get caught we're going to go to jail. We just covered up a murder," Marley said as she paced and Jughead quickly grabbed her hand forcing her to sit down next to him.

"Marley, look at me," Jughead said as he gripped the side of Marley's face forcing her to look at him.

"We aren't going to get caught. We hid the car, everything is fine," Jughead said trying to reassure his girlfriend and Marley cried as she cupped his face.

"I dragged you into this. What if Sheriff Keller traces it back to us? You know how he would love to bring you down, I'm so sorry," Marley cried and Jughead sighed before wiping her tears.

"He's not going to trace it back to us. The car is hidden," Jughead said reassuring her and Marley sniffed.

"What about the body? What if they find it?" Marley asked and there was a short silence as Jughead pulled her into a tight hug.

"Do...do you think Alice killed him or Chic?" Jughead asked her and before Marley could respond Gina walked into the room.

"Thin walls. What's this I'm hearing about a body and being accessories to murder?" Gina asked the pair and Jughead just looked at Marley who was just looking at the floor.

"Marley, it's better if you tell me everything you know. I won't go to the police. If Alice did something I could help her. Jughead What's the first Serpent law?" Gina asked him and Jughead was thrown off by the question before answering.

"No Serpent stands alone," Jughead answered and Gina nodded.

"What's the last one?" Gina asked him and Jughead tightened his grip around Marley before responding.

"In unity there is strength," Jughead answered and Gina nodded before looking at the two of them.

"So I'm going to need you guys to go in depth about what happened and what you know," Gina said and Marley looked at Jughead who just nodded.

After school the next day Jughead and Marley walked home in silence, it was dark now because after school they went to Pops. Jughead interlocked his fingers with Marley's.

"You think we did the right thing by telling my aunt?" Marley asked and Jughead nodded.

"Even though your aunt isn't a Serpent anymore it's clear that she still holds the Serpent laws to a high regard. I'm assuming Alice does too. Try not to stress yourself too much," Jughead said and Marley sighed before nodding.

Her and Jughead walked up Marley porch steps and walked into Marley's House. When they walked in they saw FP and Gina and Rhea sitting in the living room.

"About time you two showed up," FP said when he saw Jughead and Marley.

"Dad?" Jughead asked in confusion and FP stood up before looking at Gina.
