One Hell Of A Night

You adjust your dress, slightly, still not feeling so sure about going to Homecoming at all. Unfortunately for you, the guy you wanted to go with had asked someone else and had a date. Only a couple of guys had asked you, though none you wanted. Now that you think about it, you should have said yes to one of them but you didn't, holding out for the one guy. Even though he was your best friend and only saw you that way... you still wished he would of asked you.

"You ready, Honey?" Your mother called out for you. You starred at your reflection one more time before letting out a sigh, you smiled then turned around and grabbed a coat, walking out your bedroom door. Yes, you were going stag to Homecoming but your friends still wanted you there. Ned had asked MJ so they were going together, and Peter said you could go with him, even though he was also going with his date Liz. You said it was okay and didn't really feel like going anyway but he refused, not letting you argue with him. He said you and Liz were friends anyways and you could be the icebreaker for them so it worked out all way round. You finally agreed, seeing the smile plastered across you best friends face.

"Peter's here!" You thought he was waiting for you in the car.

You walked out in the living room, still adjusting your dress slightly looking at the ground. You adjusted your bra strap on your shoulder before you finally looked up. Peter was standing there in a suit... you couldn't help but to let your eyes rake over his body. Holy shit he looked so handsome...

"Wow you look b-b-beautiful" He always stuttered when giving compliments so you blushed lightly, shaking your head.

"You don't look to bad yourself, Parker" You sassed back, causing both of you to smile. Your mother insisted on taking a few snaps but you shook your head no, whispering into her ear that it would be kind of inappropriate seeing Peter wasn't actually your date. She just scoffed at you, obviously not getting how you couldn't see the way Peter was looking at you.

"You ready?" He asked, putting his hands into his pockets. You nod your head with a smile and walk with him towards the front door.

"Have fun babe! Be back by midnight!" Your mother called out behind you as you and Peter closed the door. Your mother was a lot more excited for this homecoming then you were. Peter began to rub his hands nervously, it was slightly chilly outside but it didn't bother you.

"You okay?" you ask concerned. He glanced to you and softly smile.

"Yeah just...." He trails off.

"Nervous?" you finish for him. He nods his head and you begin walking to the car.

"I just don't want to mess up, you know?" He spoke, looking at you as he spoke. You smiled, ignoring the pain that began to spread through your chest. This was Peter's night, you weren't going to ruin it for him with your stupid teenage crush. You smiled up at him and nodded, grabbing his forearm softly. He immediately stopped and glanced down to your hand that was on his arm.

"You won't Peter just... breathe okay?" You spoke to him. He did as you said and took a deep breath, feeling more slightly at ease.

"But what if I don't hold the door open? Or forget to compliment her enough? Or-" You cut his rambling off by placing your hand over his mouth. He glanced at you confused, ignoring the way his heart began to race.
