Everyone tells you that it's cliche to fall in love with your best friend, but of course that didn't stop you. How could it? Everything about him had drawn you in. He was so utterly perfect in your eyes. His dimpled smile and chocolatey brown puppy dog eyes made you swoon. Ned, a friend you both had shared between you was the first to pick up on your unrequited feelings. You both knew it was hopeless, seeing as the guy you were madly in love with was in love with someone else...

Still, it didn't sway you. It hurt, a lot, but you were never going to let these feelings come between the two of you. He's been your best friend since grade 3 for crying out loud... he stood up for you to your bullies and protected you against numerous guys who were only out to break your heart. Maybe that's when you started to crush on your best friend...

''Seriously, Ned, what did you get for question 4? The mass is not equalling out...'' You were snapped out of your thoughts by Peter's confused tone, his eyebrows knitting together. All three of you were currently held up in the school library, 35 minutes after school finished for the day. Peter was over-stressing about an upcoming science exam, twirling his pen in between his fingers, nibbling the end occasionally, an anxious habit you had picked up on over the many years. A rather adorable habit though.

It had worried both you and Ned whenever Peter got stumped, he was a borderline genius and was often the one helping you guys. Ned exchanged a knowing look with you before facing Peter once again, Peter too focused on his messy pile of paper and books.

''You're over thinking it, here'' Ned piped up, reaching over the table to grab one of the books from underneath. Ned and Peter soon began chatting rather quickly together, the words completely going over the top of your head. You were nowhere near as smart as the boys, you still studied and got great grades but none of this stuff came easy to you.

''Do you need any help?'' Ned offers once Peter returns back to his homework. Both of them were in AP classes for almost everything, you were in all the regular classes but did happen to share AP English with them. You smiled up at Ned and shook your head, having finished your homework a few minutes ago. Peter finally glances up to the two of you, sighing.

''You guys can leave if you want, I'm probably going to be stuck here late into the night yet again...'' Peter trailed off, glancing over to Ned with a look you couldn't quite decipher. Ned quickly sat up in his seat and beamed, now turning to face you.

''Y-yeah, we should get going Y/N, you can even help me with the last few pieces of the Lego Death Star!" Ned boasted proudly, his grin reaching his ears. You just looked between the two of them, getting the same weird feeling whenever they acted this way. But as usual, you shrugged it off.
