Secrets
After the afternoon in the library nothing much seemed to happen. You and Peter talked but he always seemed to avoid the subject every time you brought it up. He would easily get flustered and quickly think up something else, instantly changing the topic. You weren't sure whether or not to approach Ned or not, he may not even know what was going on. You hadn't felt like explaining the whole thing to him just to receive some advice.
You had decided to stay home this afternoon and study on your own, not wanting to create anymore awkward situations with Peter. Your mind still lingered on the kiss you two had shared, it was short and sweet but left you feeling totally over the moon. You kind of grew frustrated with yourself for not having the balls to talk to Peter.
"What is the product of..." You trailed off, reading over the question to yourself. Once again you grew frustrated and slammed your book close, pushing it to the side of your bed. Listing your arms up to rub your now confused brain you had decided to just watch a movie instead, not wanting to get another headache so early in the afternoon.
You hadn't realised you had grown comfortable and slipped undercovers yours covers. Half way through the movie you heard a faint tap come from your bedroom window. You ignored it at first, thinking nothing of it. But then it came again, this time causing your head to move to the side.
You were shocked to see a smiling Peter Parker standing outside your window, his backpack over his shoulders. With furrowed eyebrows you hoped out of your bed and made your way over to the window. You unlocked the window and pushed it open, allowing Peter to come in.
"What are you doing here?" Was the first thing you spoke, wondering what the hell he was actually doing at your house. A few grunts fell from Peter as he got through the window, his bag getting caught half way. Once he was fully inside he shut the window, walking past you and over to your bed. He placed his backpack down and turned towards you and smiled.
"You weren't at the library so I decided to come to you" He said, causing a flutter to stir inside your chest. Willing it go away, you made your way over towards Peter, still with furrowed eyebrows.
"What's in the bag?" You had found yourself questioning. Peter just smiled his lopsided smile and quickly turned around, searching through his bag.
"So I was up all night searching the web, you know, looking for relaxation techniques and focus techniques. I stumbled across this really good website that gave you heaps of facts and printed them off, thinking that maybe you could use them. I brought some music over and nice smelling candles cause they actually trigger the brain to focus and relax, your sense of smell can kind of guide your brain in a sense. I brought some food over cause studying on an empty stomach can actually make it worse for you without you even realising. But basically I just stayed up studying." Peter had managed to finish all in one breath, you were shocked he spoke so fast yet you understood him completely.
Peter had been pulling out the said items as he spoke, the candles and food no on your bed. You couldn't help but to smile at yourself as you saw Peter become more flustered.
Did he do this all... for you?
"...peter" you began, trying to get his attention away from his backpack. He was still sifting through, seeming to pull out more and more items.
"Hmm?" He mumbled out to you, pulling out the very last item in a hurry. Your eyes quickly glanced down to see what it was.
A flower.
Why would Peter bring a flower?
Realising his mistake he quickly grabbed the flower, popping it straight back into his bag as he cheeks blossomed a bright red. You watched his action with a smile, feeling your own cheeks beginning to heat up.
"What's the flower for?" Your nerves were definitely there but your curiosity got the better of you. With a faint smile he turned around to face you, trying to shrug his shoulder nonchalantly. You saw past this however and watched as he brought a hand to the back of his neck, a sign to say he was indeed nervous.
"It's an Amaryllis... it kinda symbolizes-" Peter began speak up, your brain automatically making the connection.
"Beauty, yeah I know... that's why it's my favourite flower" You had finished for Peter with a smile. You held his eye contact and watched as his eyes slightly widen, his mouth falling slightly a gap.
"R-r-really?" Peter stuttered out in a soft tone. You nodded your head at him, feeling flustered under his gaze. He was looking at you so intently it had made you nervous.
He quickly cleared his throat, realising he had in fact been staring at you for a bit too long. This seemed to snap yo out of your daze as well, bringing you back down to reality.
"You kinda... weren't supposed to see that..." You could hear Peter mumble under his breath, but loud enough for you to hear. Without saying anything you just took a step closer to him, making him look back up at you again with a shy smile.
"You did this all... for me?" You couldn't help but to wonder. Your heart leaping at the possibility that he cares so much that he went to all this extra trouble for you. Of course you knew about this stuff already but seeing him make the connections himself made your heart soar.
"N-n-no..." Peter nervously mumbled out, still holding his gaze with yours. You could notice his cheeks turn a faint red again, signalling that he was indeed lying. With a smile you took a step closer, watching as he visibly gulped.
"...no?" You let your voice drop into a soft tone, hinting a little sadness through it. Suddenly you had indeed began to feel a little sad and hurt, you had read too much into it. You tended to do that alot, read too much into things, especially when it came to Peter Parker.
You felt his guys flicker over your face. You were wondering what the hell was going on inside his head.
"...fuck it" You heard him mumble under his breath. He reached forward and wrapped an arm around your waist, the other cupping your cheek. He sealed your gasp with a kiss, placing his lips gently against yours. He began to move them slowly, enjoying the rush of tingles that began to explode through his body. You followed his lead, wrapping your arms around him. He deepened the kiss, tracing his tongue over your bottom lip. You fought back a moan that had wanted to escape, feeling slightly embarrassed at the fact that you practically wanted too moan.
He slowly pulled away from you, his eyes fluttering open with a small smile. He kept you close to him still, his arm not leaving your waist.
"I'm sorry about the other day and today, I shouldn't have left like that, it was really stupid and-" You had cut off his rambling with a peck. The kiss only lasting a few seconds. The small kiss still enough to cause a fire to burn through you.
Peter's eyes widened at this, though the smile he possessed grew bigger.
"So... the flower?" You spoke up softly, trying to contain a giggle as you watched his face redden all over again. You could positively say that a blushing Peter was your new favourite thing.
"Okay... maybe you were meant to see it''
