Late Night Trip

Today had been a quite uneventful day up until this point. Once you arrived home from school, you got ready for your part time job at your local cafe before returning home around 8pm. You were greeted by your parents warm smiles as you walked through the front door, walking past them to head to your bedroom. Once you had finished showering you had decided to do some of your homework, no one you couldn't afford another detention due to lack of.

"Y/N, honey!" Your mum called from the living room. With a groan and a sigh you got up, walking out to see what she wanted.

"Do you mind quickly ducking down to the store for some milk?" Your eyes widened slightly at her request. You glanced outside the living room to see the street barely alight from the lamp posts. You began to shake your head, turning back around top face her.

"Oh, and get some of that chocolate sprinkles too, the ones that we put in for our hot chocolate" At this your ears had perked up. You began nodding your head at her request, a knowing smirk growing across your mums features. You raced back up into your bedroom and grabbed a coat followed by a pair of slippers. You shut your bedroom door behind as you made your way back out into the living room. With one last smile to both your mum and dad you walked out the front door, closing it shut behind you. You wrapped the coat tighter around you, feeling the cool breeze dance across your skin causing you to shiver. It was getting close to winter now, only probably about a few months out before it was due to snow.

You turned the corner and began following the familiar path up to your local shop. It was a convenience store that was open 24/7. The bell had signaled your arrival, the store clerk lifting his head to see you. You sent him a small smile before walking down the aisles in search of what you needed. You heard the bell jingle again, our head peeking up to see who had walked in. You noticed a guy with his hoodie pulled up had walked in, his hands stuffed inside his pockets. You had glanced at him curiously before continuing on, walking over to the refrigerators to grab some milk.

*CRASH*

Your head spun around to the source of the noise. You slightly jumped in your spot from the unexpected sound, glancing around warily. You had noticed the guy in the hoodie was standing next to the chip stand, knocking it over on purpose. This had alerted the store clerk to look up at him with a frown. You began to feel your stomach turn into knots, a feeling of dread beginning to rush over you. Maybe you had a chance to sneak out the door before either of them noticed. Forget the milk, you could come back tomorrow for it, preferably in the day.

The hooded figure had walked over and knocked over another stand, this one being filled with newspapers and magazines. With an angry expression beginning to form, the man stepped out from behind his cash register, walking around to face the hooded figure. You held onto your milk and slowly began to shut the door quietly, hoping to become invisible.

"Hey man what the hell!" You could hear the clerk exasperate in anger. He probably ddn't want to spend the rest of his duty cleaning up the mess. It wasn't until the man took out a hand from one of his pockets that the clerk's eyes widened. You could notice the fear radiating off of him. You glanced down to the hooded man's hand and noticed a shiny piece of metal reflect the store light. Your eyebrows furrowed together in confusion until it finally clicked.
