Hold Tight
Age 5: The very first time you met Tom Holland. Both your parents had settled you both down into the same childcare center. From him dropping a chocolate milkshake onto your head while you stole his batman figurine was the start to this blissful friendship. The both of you had soon grown inseparable, who needed friends when you had your best friend by your side?

Age 6: First year of school, well kindergarten (or prep/preschool I guess). You both had spent another entire year together. You guys were so close that a few of the teachers worried that you guys would only socialise with each other and wouldn't develop your social skills. They were wrong.

By Junior high you both had a different group of friend. Neither of you were popular but had a few friends to help past school. It had grown on your friends that maybe, your friendship wasn't just a 'friendship'. Though whenever one of your friends brought it up you quickly denied.
''Are you kidding? We're just friends'' You would always say, a part of you wishing that it was true. You had began growing feelings for him in the past year, the both of you seeming to become closer and closer if that was even possible.

High school started and this was when everything changed. Tom had fewer friends and spent a lot more time with the guys rather then with you. You didn't mind at first, glad he was having fun with other people. It wasn't till girls stared to come into the picture where you felt like your perfect bubble was about to burst.
''I see the way you guys look at each other, when are you going to come clean about your feelings for him?'' You had stared blankly at your girl best friend and sighed, knowing the familiar turn this conversation was taking.
''When they exist'' You always tried to play it off but she always saw right through you. Of course you had feelings for him, who wouldn't? He was the greatest guy in the entire world. Any girl would be lucky to call him hers.
You envied almost every girl he hung out with. He wasn't popular with the girls but from time to time you'd come across him talking to one, joking with them. You smiled but could feel the prickles of jealousy nipping at you. You hated being jealous, it was a horrible and a useless emotion yet you still felt it. Every damn time.
''So, how long do you think it'll take for my brother to notice that you're practically in love with him?'' Sam, his youngest had said one school afternoon senior year taking you by surprise. Was it really becoming that noticeable?
''Sorry?'' You were clamming up, your heart beginning to beat faster.
''Oh come on, out brother might be blind but we're not'' Harry spoke up, Sam's twin as he walked into the living room seeming to overhear us. You stared at him with wide eyes and shook your head, willing your cheeks to stop blushing.
