Before the moon could set
Before the sun could rise
You were dancing in your dreams
Awaiting a surprise
We were both fast asleep
But wide awake in our dreams
And there in the fantasy world
We collaborated our dreams
You came running into mine
To free me of my nightmare
I strolled into yours
To light your heart's flare
Every night you slept
With tears in your eyes
But every morning your face
Was covered with a million smiles
That was your biggest surprise
To know someone that was there
To help you in your dreams
To worry for you and care
So don't worry my dear
You'd never be alone
To see you bright and smiling
I'll take your tears on loan
I can't control the horrors of day
I'm the guardian of your night
And every night I'll sleep to ensure
That your dreams take their flight
