123 Chocolate

39 12 23

Laying in your friend's pocket
A chocolate stares back at you
Taking a little tiny peek
Inviting for a delicious chew

"Is he going to gift it to me?
Or we supposed to share a bite?"
You start to fumble with your actions and words
There's just chocolate in your sight

Your thoughts get all chocolaty
You start to feel the taste in your mouth
But one look at your friend and you know
His intentions are cruel without a doubt

He pulls the chocolate from his pocket
Casts the wrapper aside
And without even offering a piece
He takes a healthy bite

"Umm...," he brews out loud
Feeling the chocolate melt
And then he curves his lips into a smile
Knowing exactly how you felt

If friendship is a delicious cake
Chocolate is the cherry on its top
Without a special chocolate gift
Even the best of friendship is flop
