Standing in a meadow
She had a lizard on her head
Sleep in her eyes
She yearned for her bed

But the lizard kept her awake
Scratching her fiery hair
As beautiful as the girl
She was a lizard fair

The boy just stared in awe
Watching the girl with a lizard
If it'd have been he in her place
There'd have already been a blizzard

It was just a little creature
But he feared it all the same
And to shout it out to the world
He didn't feel any shame

But the girl was very brave
Or atleast she looked from far
And so to check on his assumption
The boy drove to her in car

When his view enlarged
He hit his forehead hard
That little lovely lizard
Broke his baby heart

Because it wasn't a lizard at all
It was just a ribbon
Laughing at the miscue
Both their heartbeats quickened

The boy and the girl
Ended the day with smile
And leaving the girl alone
Boy drove back the travelled mile

Yes, he left the girl and her lizard on their own...
