Luke's P.O.V.

"Why is she naked?" I stop in my place. The love of my life is naked on this boys couch, rocking back and forth gasping for air. "Don't worry about that! Help her!" Jai exclaims. I look at his clothes and my fists clench.

He is in his boxers. She is in nothing but her purple lace panties. "Did you fucking try something on her? Did he force you into anything, Maddie?" I ask through closed teeth as i walk over to her.

"No! Of course not!" Jai exclaims.

"The what were you doing?" I ask and lift Maddie into my lap. "We were about to have sex." Jai says with no shame. That fucker. I shake my head and go back to Maddie.

"Shh.. Baby... It's okay... Look into my eyes...." I say and grab her face. Her arms are still around her legs which are pulled to her chest. She is so small in my arms.

Never did i think i'd be holding my naked ex-girlfriend in my arms on my 'friend's couch. Her breaths come out i short, forced puffs. Her eyes dart around the room. "Shh.. I'm right here." I say with tears in my eyes. It kills me to see her this way.

"L-Luke." She gasps and clings to my chest. I don't think of her bare chest against mine as she holds onto me tightly. "It's okay princess..." I whisper and stroke her hair softly.

After a little bit of her looking into my eyes her breathing goes back to normal. "I'm so sorry Jai. I'm sorry that you had to come out here Luke at like midnight.." She rushes and stands up, covering her breasts.

I hand her the shirt lying on the floor and help her put it on. "Thanks.." She mumbles, her voice wavy.

We make eye contact for a few seconds and i can see her pain. "Maddie? Can i talk to you?" Jai asks as he slips his shorts up his legs. She nods and walks into the other room with him.

I stay silent. Hoping i can hear something.

"I know you still love him, Maddie.. It's okay.." Jai says.

"But... You're right.." Maddie sighs. Wait, what? She still loves me? "I'm sorry..." Maddie says. "No, it's okay. You're my best friend anyways. We shouldn't change that." He replies. "Go get him." Jai whispers. I stumble back to the couch and act like i was there the whole time.

"Um.. Luke? Can i talk to you?" Maddie asks.

I jump up from my seat and follow her into the hallway. "Maddie, please forgive me. I'm a mess without you. Fuck, i just need you back." I step towards her.

Surprisingly she doesn't back up. "I'm sorry t-" I cut her off, "No, you didn't do anything wrong.. Except for almost having sex with him..." I grit my teeth.

"Don't get jealous... He was there when you weren't." She brings up. "Luke, this is the second time we have had a breakup... I can't handle one again..." She chokes out.

"Are you giving me another chance?" I ask. She nods and hugs me. "Don't fuck it up again, Luke. I swear to god." Jai's voice comes from the living room. "I-I won't." I whisper and hug Maddie tighter. I am such a fuckup...

"Do you want to stay here? Or do you want me to take you home?" I ask her.

"Can i come home with you?" Her small voice asks. "Of course.. I have a question.. Did you miss me?" I ask with tears in my eyes. "I did, Luke. Of course I did.. I cried all the time..." She whispers and let's go of my hand.

"Jai, i'm so sorry..." She hugs him. "I'll come over tomorrow and we can have lunch or a movie or something. As friends." Maddie clarifies. "That'd be great, Mads." Jai replies and kisses her cheek. I look away until Maddie walks back over to me. "Bye Jai. Thanks for calling me." I say and walk Maddie out to my car.

"Maddie Harrison? Will you be my girlfriend again?" I ask her with a small smile. "I will." She smiles back and kisses me. We drive back to my apartment in silence.

"I hope Mike isn't here.." I mumble and help Maddie out of the car. We both look like messes. I lead her up to my room and she gasps. "What the hell happened up here?"

"I got angry a lot for fucking up... I threw shit around and got drunk." I confess. "I missed you Maddie.." I whisper to her as my tears fall. She begins to cry. "C'mere." I order and pat my lap. "I missed you too." She mumbles and sits on me.

"Make me feel better?" She begs and clings onto me.

I know what she means. "Always..." I lean her on my bed and slowly kiss her lips. "Don't hurt me again." She kisses me passionately and pulls at my shirt. I need to forget about Maddie almost having sex with Jai... It'll be hard but i can forget. As long as i have Maddie.

"I never will..." I mumble and kiss her neck.
