"Okay class, you may have the last fifteen minutes to do whatever you'd like." Mr. Jacobson announces and sits at his desk, picking up a magazine. I take my book from my bag and open to the last page i was on, only to be interrupted by someone.
"Hello, I'm Luke." A tall, gorgeous blonde boy said as he sat down next to me in my History class. "I'm Maddie." I reply and continue to read Pride and Prejudice. "Whatcha readin'?" Luke questions and snatches the book from my hands. "Ugh, leave me alone!" I beg and reach for my old book.
He smirks and sets it down in front of me. "Why are you reading such an old book? This thing is ancient!" He exclaims and taps the cover. "Because i like it." I tell him and shove my book into the bag. "Nice glasses." He comments and smiles. "Thanks..." I mumble and adjust them so they sit comfortably on the bridge of my nose.
"Aren't you the bad boy that lives on my street? You know, the one who skips school, smokes, always up to no good with your friends?" I ask Luke. He chuckles, "Aren't you the good girl? The one who never misses school, is always home on time and studies all night?" Luke smirks.
I roll my eyes at him and pick at my nails. "Kind of. But it's called being smart."
"It's called being a nerd." He replies with a smile. I roll my eyes again and sit back. "Why are you even talking to me?" I question. "Because you're interesting..." Luke smiles and pokes my cheek. I laugh with him and stand when the bell rings.
"I guess i'll see you tomorrow." He says before walking off.

"I don't fucking get it!" A boy exclaims from the back of the class. "Language, Mr. Clifford!" Mrs. Laney exclaims. "Maddie, will you please go to the hall and help Michael for this period?" Mrs. Laney asks. I can see the desperation in her eyes. She really doesn't want to deal with Michael. I nod and take my things to the back of the class to get him.
"My name is Maddie." I say once we emerge into the hallway. "I'm Michael..." He mumbles and sits down. I sigh and fix my skirt before sitting next to him. Michael had hair that kind of looked like galaxy. It was cool. But i'd never dye my hair like that. My hair is nice and blonde.
"What don't you get?" I ask him and take his paper in my hands. He seemed to be doing okay... But he did need some help. "Questions three through twenty..." He chuckles. "That's like the whole paper!" I exclaim and laugh.
"But i'm dumb!" He says back.
"You are not. You just need help!" I tell Michael. "Maybe you could tutor me?" He offers. I think for a moment. He does need a lot of help... I guess i'll do it. "Sure. Uhm.." I say while getting a pen and a sticky note. "Here's my number." I tell him and stick the note on his journal. He smiles widely, "Thank you, Maddie."
"It's nothing, Michael. I love helping people." I reply while smiling. "Now let me help you with this, and i'll come to your house tonight after school if you can drop me off?"
"Of course." He smiles and pays attention to what i am saying about his assignment. I know how Michael asks. He hangs around with Luke (who i met a few days ago), Ashton and Calum.
Ashton is my best friend. He has been since the sixth grade. He is completely different from me, but he knows me better than anyone else. I only hang out with Ashton sometimes because my mother hates him.

"Hey! Watch where you're go-" A boy said as i was shoved into him. "I'm sorry!" I cut him off and gather my stuff. "Oh, it's okay. Here let me help you!" The dark haired boy says to me. I know who he is, i just don't know his name. He lives on my block along with Luke, Michael and Ashton.
"I'm Calum, i'm sorry for bumping into you." He apologises. "No! It was my fault, uh, someone shoved into me." I tell him and stand up. "I'm M-"
"Maddie. I know. Ashton told us about you." He replies. "Mind if i walk you to class?" Calum questions. I nod and take my papers from him. "Thank you." He smiles and walks down the hall.
"What's your next class, Maddie?"
"Writing with Mr. Matson." "Cool, i have that class. I'll only come because you'll be there." He winks, making me blush. "So how do you know Ash?" Calum asks.
"Some guys were picking on me in eighth grade and Ashton stood up for me. We have been friends ever since. But i can't see him too much because my mum hates him." I reply.
"Wow, harsh." He jokes.
I laugh, "My mum thinks he's a no good teenager. And that i shouldn't hang out with people like him or i'll mess my grades up. I mean... I do care about grades... But Ashton is my best friend." I smile.
"Well you should hang out with us sometime." Calum flashes a smile and sits down next to me. "Don't you usually sit in the back?" I question.
"Yup, but imma sit with you. To see what you like to do during class." He replies and sits back. I shake my head and smile, getting out my books i need for the period.

"Ash! Leave me alone! Let me do my homework!" I exclaim and take the papers from his hand. I was currently at his house because he needed help. "Why are you always doing homework?" He questions and sits next to me.
"Because i want to graduate, and you know my mum would be angry if i don't get good grades..." I reply and write down the answer to a question. "C'mon Maddie. Let's go have fun." He demands. "I can't Ash, you know i love you. But i have to get home. My mum just texted me... She's mad." I tell him and gather up my stuff.
"I'll save you someday... I promise..." Ashton tells me and engulfs me in a huge hug. He's the only one who really knows what happens.. "I know." I reply and walk out the door.
(A/N: Hello! Just to let you know, these aren't all in the same day. This is just how she met Luke, Calum and Michael.)
