Fae and Gandalf lifted the little Hobbit and carried him to the sitting room, they lay him on his favourite armchair. Just as the hobbit started to stir Gandalf placed his hand on Fae's arm.
"I believe you are wanted elsewhere." He said, nodding towards Thorin who stood in the corridor, gazing at the scene before him.
"Thorin Oakenshield will have to wait." She said loud enough for the dwarf to hear, and in response raise a single eyebrow as a faint smile ghosted his lips. "I have another dwarf to deal with first." She stormed past both Gandalf and Thorin, to where Bofur sat drinking a glass of ale. She smacked him around the back of the head and shouted a string of curse words at the now bewildered dwarf.
"Túg norn. Gar-cin baw subtletui? (Thick dwarf. Have you no subtlety)" she roared. Thorin ran forward and restrained her arms, pulling her back.
"Calm yourself shinuroz kor" Thorin said softly
"The poor hobbit." She said, "I hope you are proud Bofur, you have just lost the company their burglar." At that Fae turned and stormed into the corridor and watched as Gandalf spoke with a now awake Bilbo.
After a while Thorin walked over and stood next to her.
"It appears we have lost our burglar." Fae said softly. "Probably for the best. The odds were always against us. After all, what are we? Merchants, miners, tinkers, toymakers; hardly the stuff of legend."
"There are a few warriors amongst us." Thorin protested
"Old warriors."
"I will take each and every one of these dwarves over an army from the Iron Hills. For when I called upon them, they came. Loyalty. Honour. A willing heart. I can ask no more than that." Thorin said. Faerydae sighed and cupped his face with her hands.
"You don't have to do this. You have a choice. You've done honourably by your people. You have built a new life for them in the Blue Mountains, a life of peace and plenty. A life that is worth more than all the gold in Erebor." Thorin sighed and lifted the key from over his head.
"From my grandfather to my father, this has come to me. They dreamt of the day when the dwarves of Erebor would reclaim their homeland. There is no choice, darluroz (darling). Not for me."
"Then I will stand with you. Until the end melnen (my love)" Fae replied, taking Thorin's face in her hands once again and kissing his lips softly. He smiled and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear before embracing her in a hug. The young prince took the elf's hand and led her to where the other dwarfs stood. When seeing her Bofur stood and offered his chair.
"My lady, I am so sorry. I did not mean..."
"it is alright Bofur. You can make it up to me by singing me a song." Fae said.
"Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day
To find our long forgotten gold
The pines were roaring on the height
The winds were moaning in the night
The fire was red, it flaming spread
The trees like torches blazed with light"
