Hello hello I'm back again. Sorry for the late chapter. Also, sorry for the sad/upsetting maybe chapter. (Sorry, at least I gave you a warning.)
Viktor's POV
I wake with a start in the middle of the night, covered in sweat. I turn my head to look at Yuuri, still peacefully asleep. I gently shake him awake, feeling bad for disturbing his sleep. His eyes flutter open, and he looks at me with concern. Framing my face in his hands, he caresses my face with his calloused thumbs.
"What's wrong Vitya?" He murmurs quietly, tiredness evident in his voice. Gently pushing the hair out of my eyes, his face becomes more concerned by the second.
"I-I keep having nightmares about the Zombies coming into the house. I mean, what's stopping them?" I asked in a worried voice. A small, comforting smile appears on his face, and he turns me around so that my back is against his chest. Puling me close, Yuuri presses his lips against the base of my neck.
"Don't worry Vitya. I have blood lines around the house. Blood lines are a mix of chemicals that make a barrier to keep them away." He mumbles onto my neck, calming me down. Snuggling back into his chest, I close my eyes and slowly drift into a deep sleep. Right before I go fall into slumber, I swear I hear Yuuri softly whisper 'I love you."
~~~
My eyes slowly crack open, and I wake up to Yuuri nuzzling his nose into the base of my neck. My face heats up, and I press my back onto his chest harder. Yuuri's strong arms hug me tighter, and I cover his hands with mine.
"Good morning, my love." He whispers, all evidence of the tiredness he showed last night gone. I lay in his arms happily, comforted by his warmth.
"Good morning, Yu. Sorry that I woke you up last night, I hope you didn't mind that much." I say sheepishly, and I feel Yuuri's warm breath on the back of my neck.
"It's fine, you don't need to be sorry." He says, and I close my eyes and lean my head back onto his. Yuuri presses a chaste kiss onto my neck before squeezing me tightly. I bask in the warmth of Yuuri, enjoying his comforting presence. Yuuri's fingers start to crawl slowly over my arms, sending tiny electric shocks up my arms.
"Hey, Yuuri? I have a kind of weird question." I hear Yuuri hum, telling me to ask. "Is there a reason you like to dance so much? I'm just curious." Yuuri's fingers pause, and he sighs onto my neck, causing shivers to wrack through my body.
"When Collin was still alive, we would always talk about how much we wanted to learn to dance. We never did, we never thought we had the time. When he died, I used dancing as a coping mechanism, knowing it was always important to him. Soon after, I learned that I fell in love with dancing, and its also a really good way to stay fit." A pain appears in my chest, pain for Yuuri and all he had to deal with.
"C-can you teach me sometime?" I say quietly, a light blush rising to my cheeks.
"Of course, Vitya. I would love to." After that, we lay in comfortable silence, enjoying each others presences. I close my eyes to go to sleep, but a loud bang makes them shoot open again. Yuuri jumps out of bed, running to the window. Silently cursing, he storms away from the window, reaching under the bed two grab two hand guns.
"Y-Yu? Whats going on." He growls as another bang sounds, making me jump. After he gets the guns situated at his hips, he grabs knives and straps them on.
"It's Chris." He growls, pulling me out of bed. "Chris and his colleagues are surrounding the house. We'll have to fight our way out." Yuuri hands me a gun, and my eyes widen in shock. Yuuri rushes around the room, glasses askew and hair slightly disheveled. The scene of Yuuri with guns strapped to his hips while he was still in his pajamas seemed wrong.
"Come on." He says, pulling me out of bed into his arms, running out of our bedroom. We run down the stairs, and as soon as Chris sees us through the window, he rapid fires at us. Yuuri pulls me to the ground, pulling me along in an army crawl as the group of people try to shoot us. I follow Viktor to behind the couch and he grabs a gun from the holster on his waist, the heavy silver object foreign to me. He stands up to shoot the people standing outside the window.
Pop.
Pop.
Pop.
Bang! Suddenly, the gun drops to the floor with a loud bang beside me, and a few seconds later so does my beloved soulmate. His hand clutches his shoulder that is now soaked with blood, head bowing over. I start to panic, looking around for something to help Yuuri. He grabs my shaking hands and squeezes them, unintentionally digging his nails into my hand.
"Just... get some cloth to bind it with." Without thinking, I tear my shirt off, tying it tightly around the wind on his arm. The gunshots continue, and Yuuri winces from the pressure on his wound. "We need to get to slayer base. We run for the back door, run to the car and drive fast. Got it?" I nod my head, and, as the shooting continues, we sneak towards the back door.
I look over to Yuuri, and notice that blood is steadily seeping through my T-shirt. We get to the back door, and Yuuri pulls me up, pushes me out of the door. I start to run, but slow down to put Yuuri's arm around my shoulders. A shout sounds behind us, and bullets start whizzing past us, causing me to run even faster.
Come on, Viktor. You can make it. Yuuri can make it. The car isn't that far.
I feel Yuuri's steps falter, and he curses under his breath. He grabs the back of his thigh and and limps along beside me, and I pull him along after me. I hear a shout from Chris that confuses me to the bone.
"Don't hurt Viktor!"
Chris' statement leaves my mind when I see the car. With a burst of adrenaline, I pick Yuuri up and run to the car, opening the door and throwing him into the passenger seat. I put the key in the ignition, slamming my foot on the gas pedal of the car. Shouts sound behind us, and I hear tire screeches of cars follow close behind us.
I drive as fast as I can, tires screeching as I make sharp turns, trying to lose the people on my tail. I glance over at Yuuri, worry over taking my body. His head is leaning back on the seat, eyes shut from the pain of the bullet holes in his body.
"We'll be there soon, my love. Hold on." I say, putting my hand on his knee. Looking in the rear view mirror, I notice the people that were following us had disappeared, so I turned and went towards Slayer Base. Yuuri started to whimper, the pain finally getting to him. I push the speed limit, arriving at Slayer Base a few minutes later.
I carry Yurri in, alerting the attention of the people in the building. They all rush towards me, looking at Yuuri with concern. Someone calls for Eve, and she motions for me to lay Yuuri down on one of the cots she had set up. I lay him down, and he groans in pain. I grab his hand and squeeze it tightly.
"Come on, love. You can make it." I murmur, tears gathering in my eyes.
I'M SORRY I KNOW THIS TOOK SO LONG I WAS REALLY STRESSED AND MAD AND I'M REALLY SORRY I'LL TRY TO DO BETTER. Btw, do you think its a good idea for me to start another fanfic??
