Liya's POV
When Rebecca pulled me out of the animus, I was very apprehensive as to what they were on about. I didn't feel any different.
I got up, and went over to the mirror. I gasped in horror.
I looked exactly like Cara.
I still had my pale complexion, but my blonde hair was deep chestnut at the roots up until about half way down my hair. My eyes were still the same striking green, but my features were morphing into what Cara's.
The rounded lips, the slim nose, the razor sharp cheekbones. All there.
"W-What is going on?" I asked sheepishly, hardly believing my reflection.
None of them seemed to want to answer.
"Liya, you've been exposed to the past in the animus for too long. You're turning into Cara basically. That's why you can do what she could, and you're starting to look like her." Lucy said, looking apologetic.
"Is there anything we can do to stop it?"
"Not as of yet. I'm sorry Liya, I really am." Rebecca said.
"So what then? What after I've turned into Cara?" I asked.
The prospect of turning into Cara didn't seem too awful, to be honest. It was just what would happen after I had made the full transition.
"If we can, we'll find a way to stop you from going too far, so the only difference is that you'll look like her and have the accent."
"And if not?"
"If not, then I guess you'll be a modern day Cara Marie Estrellas. Unless we have a miracle."
"You should get some sleep, Liya."
"Okay." I huffed, hoping I would wake up and everything would be fine again.
I took off my shoes and jacket, and clambered into the bed in the living area. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.

"Liya." A soft voice said.
There was a woman in front of me, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing all white and gold. We were standing on, what looked like, the place you wait in as the animus loads.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Juno. You can be saved." She assured me.
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"You haven't a choice." She said.
The whiteness dissipated, and now we were in the Isola Tiberina. Ezio was sat at a table, writing on something. He had the apple of Eden sat on the table next to him.
Another figure appeared. He looked to be from the 21st century as his blonde hair was spiked up, and he was wearing jeans with a hoodie over the top.
He picked up the apple, smirked, and ran away with it. Ezio didn't react. He continued writing as if the other man was never there.
"What is going on?" I asked.
"This man corrupted the animus. He changed the past. He used your animus before you back at abstergo, and he changed the code. Your file had a virus that he caused by changing the past, and that is why this is happening to you."
"What does the virus do?"
"It caused a rip in time. You are now going to become Cara- unless you want to do something about it."
"What can I do? And where is the man now?"
"The animus went on lockdown, and he's now trapped in a place called animus island. Cara wasn't an Assassin. Your animus file is corrupt, and the rip in time changed the past."
"Y-You mean, she wasn't real?" I stuttered. We were now back at the animus loading platform.
"Silly girl, of course she was real! She was Falco's daughter, and Falco was a real Assassin. She was killed in the raids the same night as her family."
"So, what can I do to stop this," I motioned to myself, "from progressing further?"
"You have to find the apple and destroy it. That will close the time rip, and all will be saved. It is in the city. You must hurry, as you are putting Desmond at risk."
"What do you-"

I awoke and sat bolt upright, a sheet of sweat covering my forehead. Had that been real, or a dream?
I felt like I should do as it said, but I didn't think Lucy, Shaun, or Rebecca would like it.
I looked in the mirror, to see that my hair was nearly fully chestnut and my pale complexion was now tanned.
Somehow, there was a pair of hidden blades on my wrists. But they didn't look like normal ones.
They were black, with the assassin insignia in white, and the same patterns as the apple of Eden, except white. These were also more slim, and looked more feminine and streamlined. I liked them.
"What are you doing?" Lucy asked, standing from her place on the couch.
"I have to go out."
"Now is really not the time." Shaun said, scowling at me.
"You don't understand. I had a dream, and Juno showed me some stuff and I know how we can fix this."
"Ooh, a dream? So you have a dream and suddenly you're some kind of philosophical expert?" Shaun spat, sarcasm lacing his every word.
"Lay off Shaun. I believe you, Liya. I'll go with you." Desmond said, pulling on his jacket.
"Nice to know I have someone on my side." I mumbled.
We left, and turned into the city.
"So, do you wanna tell me where we're going and what we're doing?"
"Subject 13 caused a rip in time and it corrupted my file back at abstergo. Cara wasn't an assassin. But the rip changed the past to make her an assassin. The apple is somewhere in the city, and we need to destroy it in order to close the time rip."
"So, where do we start?"
A/N- What do you think will happen next? Why is Desmond at risk? and Will they get to the apple in time?
