Demi
There is nothing in the world that I hate more, than liars. Especially, little dumb ass bitches who think because my husband has money, they can lie to get some of it. Hearing that some girl claims Nick harassed her sexually, while they were writing songs together, was almost laughable. Nick was one of the most serious guys, I knew, when it came to his music, whether it was for himself or for someone else. I was the only one he would make sexual advances toward while writing music. I wanted to punch someone. I wanted to hit this girl.
Doing my yoga calmed me down a little, enough that I could do some meditation. As I calmed down, I realized I left Nick, abruptly & I was a little angry, so he may have thought I was mad at him. I wasn't. Not at all. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he did nothing inappropriate while writing with this girl.
Just as I was finishing up my meditating, Ally came into the backyard. She lived in a small apartment nearby, even though we had offered the guest house to her. She wanted a space of her own, while she was in Texas. When she was in L.A. she stayed in our house there. She was working on finishing up her debut album, so she was in Texas to do that with Nick & Paul. I smiled at her as she came up to hug me.
"You look upset, Dem. What's wrong?" Ally asked.
I explained to Ally about the girl accusing Nick of sexual harassment & Ally looked almost as pissed as I was. "That bitch!" Ally spat, shaking her head. "I was cool with her when I'd see her in the studio or at the house. I was even thinking we could be friends. Now I will punch her if I see her."
"No, don't do that." I said. "I'm probably going to punch her if I see her."
"What can I do? Can I testify that Nick was always professional? I will do anything to help him. He's been so amazing & I owe you both so much. Tell me what I can do." Ally was almost pleading with me, warming my heart in the process. She was the sweetest thing & I was so glad she came to the U.S. & into our lives.
"I will let you know if there's anything you can do." I said, smiling at her. Tiny voices echoed through the baby monitor, so I knew the twins were awake. I looked at Ally. "You can do me a huge favor right now to help me."
"Of course."
"Would you mind entertaining the twins while I go talk to Nick? I was so mad last time I talked to him, I'm afraid he thinks I'm mad at him, but it's just the whole situation that I am pissed about."
"Sure. Go find your man & I will go get the kids. Should I let them go swimming?" Ally asked, walking backwards toward the door.
"Actually, that would be perfect. Nick promised them they could go swimming if they did their piano lessons with no whining." I chuckled, remembering the conversation Nick tried to have with Mercy & Jerry earlier today. In between their defiant temper tantrums, Nick tried to talk to them & convince them to have a piano lesson. Nick, bless his heart, is always so patient with them, but watching him raise his voice over their tantrums was hilarious. Even more humorous was hearing Nick try to reason with two three year olds.
"Cool. Then you two can join us in the pool after you talk." Ally said before she disappeared inside the house.
I figured Nick was in the studio, since that's where he usually ended up when he was upset or mad. Either there or the gym & since I didn't see him in our gym area, I headed to the studio. As I got closer to the studio, I could hear music playing, softly. The door was open a crack, so I could see Nick sitting at the computer. He wasn't doing anything, though. He was leaning on the desk, staring at nothing, while his iPod was playing. I opened the door, clearing my throat when I stepped inside.
