Demi

I was excited that I scheduled my 20 week ultrasound on Nick's birthday. My mom had taken the twins that morning so Nick & I could spend the day together. We were going to my doctor's appointment & then out for lunch. After that, Nick promised to take me to play golf. Well, he was going to attempt to teach me how to play. We were going to dinner that night & then seeing some new band that Kevin Sr was managing. I hadn't gone public with my pregnancy, yet, but I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to hide it after a day of being out & seen by paparazzi. I wasn't huge, but I definitely had a baby bump that was getting more difficult to hide. It was weird, since, with the twins, I was humongous at this stage.

I woke Nick up on his birthday with a blowjob, before I went to get the kids ready for my mom. The twins & I came into the bedroom as Nick was combing his wet hair. I licked my lips, watching the kids run to his freshly showered self. I shook my head & cleared my throat, smiling at their tiny voices wishing Nick a happy birthday.

"We going with Gramma today, Daddy." Jerry said, sounding excited.

"I know & you're going to have so much fun." Nick matched Jerry's enthusiastic tone, making me laugh. "You guys better be good for Grandma & Grandpa, you hear me?" Nick said to both Jerry & Mercy. They nodded in response. My parents were grandma & grandpa & Nick's parents were Glammy & Papa. Nick's grandmother was still alive so she was already Mama, so Denise got to be Glammy, which was what she started calling herself when Isabella was born. I don't think she loved the grandma title anyway. Probably made her feel old.

My mom picked the kids up after they finished breakfast, then Nick & I headed out. We got to the doctor, being dropped off my Max at the back entrance, then made our way to the waiting room. It wasn't much longer before we were in the exam room & I was lying on the table, waiting with Nick, for the doctor to come in. Nick & I were discussing possible baby names when Dr. Anderson came in.

"Hey you, two. How are you feeling, Demi?" Dr. Anderson asked, going to the sink to wash his hands.

"Great, actually." I answered.

Dr. Anderson did my exam, then pulled the ultrasound machine to the table. He squirted the stuff on my stomach, then put the wand on it, moving it around, swiftly. Nick & I both watched the screen. "You have one of each already, so you probably don't care what this one is."

Nick & I both laughed. "Well, our daughter does not want a sister. She doesn't want to share her daddy with another baby girl." I said, smiling at Nick.

"Oh, that's not good. She's what? Three now?" Dr. Anderson asked, keeping his eyes on the screen.

"Yea. Three & a half." Nick replied.

"Tough age for having a sibling. They are very jealous at that age. I thought she'd be okay since she's been sharing her parents since birth, having a twin & all." Dr. Anderson chuckled. "Okay, I'm seeing..... well.... it looks like Mercy is going to have to get used to the idea of having a little sister." Dr. Anderson smiled as he looked at us.

Nick & I both smiled, looking at each other. Nick raised his eyebrows & pulled his lips into a thin line. He shrugged his shoulders & I laughed. "She has several months to get used to it." I said. Nick let out a breath as he laughed & nodded.

Nick & I decided to walk to a place near the doctor's office to eat lunch. Max trailed behind us, as Nick & I walked hand in hand, keeping an eye out for paparazzi. I had chose a sundress to wear today & it had an empire waist, so I definitely looked pregnant. As soon as we saw the photographers, we knew the pregnancy rumors would start within the hour. I didn't care at all. It was great publicity for my book that was still on the NY Times best seller's list. Because the book was doing so well, I was contracted to do a second parenting book, the topic being whatever I wanted it to be. The first one was mostly about being parents to twins, so I was thinking the next one would be about being parents to toddlers or newborns while having a toddler, or two.
