Chapter 4

The first thing that I heard when I woke up was the annoying voice of the alarm.

“Could you please shut up?” I said to the clock but it didn’t work.

I got out of the bed and hit the clock hardly. I pushed my hair back and went to the bathroom to clean my face. On my way there I saw pictures of me and Jared hanging on the walls. I stopped and looked at one of them. The picture was from our first date. Or if you even could call them a date. I was standing on a stage next to Jared. Yeah that is how it all started. I was at Thirty Seconds To Mars’ concert in here in Los Angeles. Jared was just singing The City of Angels and somehow I started crying. I wasn’t in the front row and I thought Jared could never notice me. I had just closed my eyes and I was whispering lyrics to myself. Then suddenly singing stopped and he said:

“Don’t cry. Come here”.

I walked past the huge amount of people and get to the stage. I looked him right at the eyes. He looked me back and smiled. He hugged me tightly and all audience said “aww”. Then he whispered to my ear:

“Go to the backstage. Wait for me there. I want to see you again”.

It all happened so fast. I still don’t know what Jared saw in me. After the concert he didn’t give any interviews or anything. He came straight to where I was and said:

“Let’s get out of here” and smiled his adorable smile. But the way he smiled was completely new for me. Of course as a fan I had checked a lot of pictures of him in my life, but I had never seen him smiling like that. That smile told more than thousand words.

So Jared took my hand and we left the building.

“Shouldn’t you go and say hi to Echelon?” I asked.

But he just looked at me and said: “Not this time. I want to get to know you”.

It started raining and Jared offered me his jacket, but I told him that I love rain.

“Me too”, he said and continued: “I know one good Chinese place here very close. Do you wanna go?”

“The first thing you need to know about me is that I can’t say no to Chinese food”, I answered and smiled.

“Okay. It’s a date then”, Jared said and then looked at me and clearly waited for me to say something.

“Yes. It’s a date”.
